Aside from legal business, ca 250 years is far too little in the Haloverse for something like the events in Destiny to feel plausibly timed. There would be tons and tons of random Halo related artifacts scattered across the galaxy too. I think it's like Marathon and Halo; they shared some references, themes, etc, but they were two different universes. I hope the melee tutorial is the same like in Halo though..
