Bungie Weekly Update
This week we talk about AI and graphics in the Campaign, and talk about the thing on everyone's minds today - the announcement and revelation of the Halo Legendary Edition. Lots of froth and panic inside. Enjoy!

Ok, this makes sense...you dont have the money for a 360 but you have enough money for a worth a -blam- PC, which costs at least $700 in the US. Sorry, forgot the quote so here it is..... This whole debate is a waste of fracking time! Those of you who have the $300 dollars to waste on a 360 are lucky! I may even go so far as to say blessed to have the money to do that. I feel offended by whoever it was that said we're too cheap to get a 360, that's not the case at all! My family is actually pretty dirt cheap; my mom works at a college and doesn't get payed squat, but however a nice perk is that we get Vista free... that just leaves the problem of me coming up with $50 for Halo 2. A lot of the reason for PC fans is because we don't want to (or don't have the money) spend on a console! Plus, when it comes to games like Halo 2, PCs are better. All I want is a little update here and there, the only reason you call us selfish is because you don't have a reason to be yet, because you get info all the time and Bungie appeases you. Different people have different circumstances and different people like different things. Some people like PC and some people like Xbox. Will everyone just stop? Seriously, I am not biased either way (about Vista and whatnot), I just want everyone to stop calling each other names and arguing endlessly! We've had the Bungie staff have to actually comment because so many people are being insulting. I don't care if you want Vista info or if you want those who want Vista info to shut up, will you all just stop? And stop saying that Bungie isn't doing their jobs or that you think you deserve more info or you think the update sucks, we are all are freaking lucky we even get any information. Honestly, if they wanted, they could just stop updating and leave us with no info. Stop being so greedy and saying Bungie guys are being stupid and stuff like that. They are doing an amazing job. I’m wanting to play Halo 3 just to feel the atmospherics right now. I’d hate to be playing through Halo 3 campaign, and it begins to start raining; then the graphics get all blurry from rain drops streaking down the Master Chiefs visor. Just wondering but are their any HIMARS or MLRS vehicles in Halo 3 that players can use and actively launch attacks?

[/quote] For some reason, I don't believe this, I'm not saying you're lying, but it just doesn't seem logical to me. You say you don't have the resources to update on Halo 2 Vista, and that's understandable, I understand that it's not being developed in your offices, and you can't play with it hands on. But an email to "Hired Gun" doesn't take [i]that[/i] long to send. Something along the lines of "Hey, could you please write a bit about the new features and some screenshots, our potential buyers are curious about H2V". Now that takes, what? 30 seconds? And if you don't have [i]that[/i] much time, how about giving Hired Gun access to the website? After all, I see in many updates something along the lines of "At the end of the day, this is a Microsoft IP." - You said it yourself, H2V is being worked on by Microsoft. Now, I don't know exactly how this website works, I just assume that it's a portal of the forums, there shouldn't be any technical limitations from that happening. And yes, we know you don't post updates about Halo Wars, maybe that's because Halo Wars has it's own website, with it's own forums? And just note that I am not blaming you directly for this, just quoting your post. ;) I will say this though, the new website does look very nice, being an amature web designer myself, I appreciate how much hard work goes into making a new site - It looks really good! I too also feel we deserve more Halo 2 Vista updates... like it or not, the Halo series is the only real source of revenue for Bungie at this time... and to leave Halo PC fans in the dark due to the fact that you're "more focused" on Halo 3 is ridiculous. I imagine that there's probably someone at Bungie who is more than qualified to either write an update or get into touch with HG, or AT LEAST speak out on the supposed May 8th release date. Now I saw a supposed press release from MS about that May 8th date being true, but I've not seen it in any place that I know to be a credible source of info... gee, it'd be nice if Bungie could at least write a one sentence news post saying "Halo 2 Vista is confirmed for May 8th". To say the fans that you don't have time for Halo 2 is just garbage, I highly doubt that you're really that separated from HG, considering they are fracking with your game, I would think you guys would want to stay in touch. Besides, I've seen Frankie (or someone else) talking about playing beta's of H2V; so if we have time to play the beta then why not write in detail about it? The only real surge of info was the H2V Developer Week... that was good, so if we had time for that, why can't we do something similar again? I'm not here to talk trash on Bungie for leaving their PC game fans in the dark; simply to state my opinion. My opinion is that just because we don't have the money to buy a $300 (or $400) dollar console, we shouldn't be left out for wanting to play a truly great game on a PC, which is a system of choice for myself and a lot of people.
