Do you think they are considered weird by the rest of our youthful society?
Every other teenager I talk to likes music such as Dubstep, Katy Perry, Among other stuff in the rap, hip hop or pop genre.
When I say I like the bands like The Rolling Stones, David Bowie or Led Zeppelin they give me strange looks as if I'm a creature from mars.
So do you think this is a cliche of other teenagers, or is it true?

My music tastes have fluctuated but there was a brief time where I was caught up in the oldies. Glad i've moved on.
You'll come back, they always do. I keep them in my playlist for a reason. I rarely come across modern music with the same emotion, meanings, and feeling as say a Moody Blues song, or a Who song. When I do, it's usually a pretty obscure band and I get sad because of it.
Lyrics and vocals are the big things for me. I saw Rush a few weeks ago and technically they were fantastic. I just prefer something I can get into. It's odd. I respect the superior "music", but the variety of emotions and styles that go into Pop Punk music have sucked me in.
