If your not into programming or coding or any of that. Like let's say you won't to be on the story board, or be a play tester, and do all that without experience with another company, like how hard is it to get into the industry as a beginner?
Posted by: xNiGhThAwKx19 Pretty hard. There are few spots open for writers, but they do open. There are more spots open for animators/artists. Playtesters have crappy jobs, playing the same game for 10 hours a day purposefully trying to break it gets real old, real fast. I respect them for it though. The best way to get hired as a writer is to go into game journalism first. The best way to get hired as a level designer, according to Kynan Pearson at least, is to work at a prison and get stabbed.
That kinda sucks, cause as much as I really want to make a gaming company, and or work on a game, the predominant jobs tha are open are things I don't enjoy doing or that I don't know how to do. Which like I said sucks. So I guess that's the end of that.
