Posted by: Macki_Chief I'm old, but I'm still young. I created my first account on 5/21/04. If you knew me, my old account was Macaulay. I hate it when people think I'm new.
You were a really good column member, I remember. What happened to your profile?

Yes, the Truth and Reconcilliation! I've been coming here since Halo 2 was anounced (those first lovely screens). Never had the net at home though, so I never joined. Only ever went to see if their was any new screenshots up and to read the weekly updates (all done in my lunch hours at college). So technically, I consider myself old Bungie-wise, but on the subject of Forums, I'm only a newborn (althought I knew of them! Damn I shoulda joined).

I remember playing myth but I didn't even know who bungie were back then :( But thanks to Halo I am a bungie fan and can now enjoy Marathon :) (Created an account when the site changed but I remember the old site well (the halo section at least).
-
My old username was "ebel", and I had that one since the Nov 2002. I worked in the middle of nowhere for a year with no internet connection and came back last spring
-
Yup...still, no flame there
Posted by: Macki_Chief I'm old, but I'm still young.
You also said you were old, which is what he was trying to get at.

I said I'm still new.
-
that is still rather new...no flame here

This is good...most forums i see only has people who just now joined or joined back in May. This one seems to be attracting alot of the oldies along with some new faces. Great
-
I'm almost a year old. New compared to others, while very old compared to others.
-
I've been here two years, most of it spent lurking... And in the last few weeks, I've become a lot more talkative!
-
Ive been here for quite a long time, when there still was the 'old' bungie.net and no pretty pics and complicated stuff. *sigh* but that community disappeared when the 'new hotness' came and got filled with new blood ;)
-
Ive been a Bungie fan for a while, especially Halo. But, it wasnt until i looked in the back of the manual that i found out there was a seventhcolumn.org. I checked it out right away. LOVED it. got a name, and here i am now.

I guess that in most ways I am old. Old in actual age, old in the number of years that I have been a Bungie fan, and old in the number of years that I've been a member (to varying degrees) of the Bungie fan community. I still recall lurking and occasionally chiming in on the Usenet and AOL discussions and chats. Yes Virginia, that was in the olde days of AOL 1.0 when the software fit on a single floppy and you paid by the hour! Hey it was the only game in town unless you wanted Prodigy, GEnie or Compuserve. *shudder* All of that said, I am somewhere between relatively new and very new to B.net (it took me a long while before I would bite the bullet and get a dot.nyet account). Now that I look back, I wonder what I was so resistant to..... Oh, yeah, it was MS!
-
I was lended Halo for years(dumb ass who lent it to me) after I got my Xbox(around Christmas). I found the site from the manual. I've been visiting since before the new hotness. Back when it was "Halo: Truth and Reconciliation." Then I found the "register" button and joined.

I am rather new to Bungie. At first my friends got me into Halo, then I got Halo PC, and from the menu there I accessed Bungie.net for the first time; but was reluctant to participate at first. I've only really being doing anything since mid-May. However, I really do love this place. Such a great community, such quality games - all you could ever want.
Posted by: The Rip Saw Well, I guess to Bungie, I'm new. To Bungie.net I'm old, having my profile in the lowest 1% of numbers here. Yup, 419 out of however many 70,000.
That doesn't make sense. To Bungie new? But to Bungie.net old? Help I'm confused! And I'm 7162th! 7162nd? 7162.

While I created an account only a few months ago, I've been a huge Bungie fan since Myth: The Fallen Lords.
-
I used to come to bungie everyday since June of 2003 to get news on halo PC or halo 2! I originally created a name in November of that year but i messed it up some how! Then i created a new name in February of 2004! I only started to post in the forums around the new hotness.
-
Myth was in fact my first Bungie game, then after a brief stint with Marathon (didn't have a mac), Halo forced me to become an active member.
-
Me and my friends started a chapter about two years ago. I guess you could say I'm older than most.
-
I've been checking out this site for about two years but haven't been getting involved until the date for this login.
-
I guess I'm a little old, if you take the member since date from my old name.

Er, I guess that I'm simi-old, I've only been here a year.
