I think something they could do that would be good in the long run in Halo 2. Is have all the mplayer levels get coppied over to your harddrive... This way, if a bug is found, instead of having to deal with people that exploit it, they can now make manditory patches for the levels themselfs...
The only thing I could see bad with this is that the size of each level... But I think it is well worth it if it doesn't fill your harddrive up (completely) in the long run...

How can you edit stuff that is on the CD of a game? I've never heard if it even being possible without taking what is to be edited off...

All you need would be the patches on the hard drive. They would add the updates to the maps as they are loaded each time.

In regular Halo the multiplayer maps are 47 MB and the campaign maps are 270 something. Thats a lot of room on an 8 gig hard drive. And thats just halo 1 so imagine on 2.

the xbox hd is much to little for such a thing. i've already problems without halo 2.
