Bungie Weekly Update
Short and sour this week, with some interesting snippets, but mostly stuff that will make fans of certain matchmaking playlists really angry and abusive. So to them, we apologize in advance.

I know this is kinda random but i have to get this out. The main thing that i want is the inf. grenades feature for multiplayer that was in halo 1. It is complete carnage and i love it. I also think you should have some ground or air troop transport. It would be really cool to be able to fly a phantom, pelican, or even drive a spectre. LET ME USE THE WRAITH MINI GUNS!!! or at least have them be controlled by anither player. Make players able to ride on the tank treads again. i kno u shouldn't really need it but it makes it soo much easier because you can't be nocked off by the spinning turret.Make the shotgun have less dmg at close range and/or more at longer than currenty in halo 2. It just drops off too fast. Halo 3 also needs more player customability. We need to be able to make female characters....unless we are all masterchief instead of spartins in general. Nice update! I can't wait to check this new podcast out,mmmm, It's so sad to hear teamswat is gone, but it's all for the best I hope. And what of these new "hi res" multiplayer shots? Intriguing....

Nooo... Team Carnage is pretty much the only gametype I play... =( BTB is boring because my brother is a pro (he's good enough to win tournaments) and he gets high and the players become too good for me. -.- Team Carnage is fun because I tend to be the one pwning. =)

Actually, I had just discoverd Action Sack not to long ago and thought that it was great with all the game types, so I am sad to see it go. But the one I am most upset about is Team Swat, I was really starting to get into that. But hey, can't have what you want, and I hope that you bring it back Bungie. Thanks, Xnauth.

Great update, and thanks for taking SWAT out...does this mean my friend is a level 19 again because his SWAT level of 40 is now void? If so he can stop bragging like a jerk......Does this mean Mister Chief will have his head duct taped backed on and have to fight Scorpion from Mortal Kombat? I don't know how that makes any sense ...but...uhh...it'd be neat :-) [Edited on 11/17/2006]

Ive listened to the podcast and i can feel this advertissement will be very good and make this CG worth while for the millions of people that will see it on that 4th decemenber. I send my gratefullness for the guys working on this project []^_^[]

Multi-Team, NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Lord, one of my fave playlists is leaving *sob*. Ninja on Fire I'm sorry to say my man, but you've made my wife pretty pissed off, ha. She loved Team SWAT and Multi-Team, as did I. Well I suppose you've got to do what you've got to do. Nice update; I'm getting totally psyched out for Halo 3 and Halo Wars. We definitely appreciate all the new info.

I'm am extremely happy to see Team Swat be taken off of matchmaking. This will make more people play it in custom games where it is less likely to be modded.

I understand the flavor playlists, the reasoning behind consolidating or temporarily canning those is founded, but Team SWAT...I don't like it as a Ranked PL, but I honestly don't see the logic behind it and maybe I'm the first one to notice that NoF seemed to "cop-out" on his explanation as to why SWAT was going in the dumpster. Its cool with me, I'm not huge on SWAT, but it is popular... Then again, on the other hand, I can understand pouring a popular playlist's game types into a different playlist to boost its population, the SWAT population has to go some where and if they want to play SWAT they'll be playing customs or end up in the Team Training playlist. And by pumping some of Team ActionSack's (by far my favorite playlist and I lament its imminent loss) games into Skirmish you do the same thing you did for Team Training. No complaints, I guess, I just felt like I was receiving what could be comparable to a political cop-out.

SWAT essentially moved, which is good and bad, but how the hell could you take multi-team away?!?!?!?! It was one of my faveorite gametypes to relax-play in. It had a uniqe feel of equiliberium of the KILLZ EM ALLZ feel of Rumble Pit the KILLZ THE OTER COLUR of Team Slayer and the uber laid back feel of Team Carnage. It was my absloute faveorite and many times I have whished for it to be ranked (cause I'd be like level five million [hyperbolically, of course]) but then I do like the semi-relaxed feel of it. I would not be so pissed if it had just been moved as SWAT but it is GONE, why? [sob]WHY?[/sob] [Edited on 11/17/2006]

Nice update. Pity about team SWAT, but it's not exactly the end of Halo 2 as there are plenty of other enjoyable playlists to have a bit of fun in, although I enjoyed SWAT a lot. As for multi-team, I'd almost forgotten that was even a playlist. Haven't played it for AGES!

Maybe I missed something, but I don't see any reason to remove Team SWAT. It is one of the best game variations out there. I think you're making a BIG mistake.

"Hmm, we know Team SWAT is ridiculously popular...so let's remove it, because it's a necessity." That makes zero sense. Literally, zero. How is it necessary to remove one of the most popular playlists? Let me think, what will that accomplish? Ok got it, it will make us have to play the crappy playlists more, hooray! Oh and go back to Team Slayer in which, if you are over a level 30, you get modded in about 1 out of 3 games. Awesome, thank you so much.
