Happy Halo Day!
It's hard to believe that it's been five whole years since Bungie unleashed Halo on the world! To celebrate this momentous occasion we've got a few small announcements that may be of interest to fans of the series as well as a little screenshot from a game we like to call Halo 3.

lol you guys don't understand this matter at all do you. You think it's some big "oh noes microsoft ploy to push sales of 360s up!" lol. Do you understand how hard it is to make the maps, then pay to have them burnt a million times to MMP2 disks? or how about the clunky old original xbox live? The reason they made it 360 only is not to force you to buy a 360, it's because it's is literally 10 times easier to put it onto 360-live. You say stupid stuff like "how hard is that? to make the game backwards compatible?" gee... they only have to write an entire peice of software to be able to emulate the system that the game would run on and then test it for a year or two *rolleyes* wow, that sounds [b]much[/b] more efficient. Not to mention that they would have to completely start halo 3 from scratch and push the release date back another 2 years. Not to mention the lack of achievements, online optimism, ease-of-use downloadable content, and all the other benefits of playing halo on the 360. If you don't wanna suckle up and buy a 360, then it's your decision, i guess i won't be seeing you playing any new maps/halo 3... I can really see how logically thought out your post was.

personally i think the marathon logo on the assault rifle was a little [i][b]too[/i][/b] obvious this time lol. but anyways, very nice stuff, i can't wait/keep up with the 1up updates! lol.

Happy Halo Day!!!!! omg i remember when i was in the fifth grade and going to my friends house to play halo when the controllers were massive ( i still have one for LAN parties) and i couldnt hold them and then in sixth grade i got my xbox and went home and played halo nonstop! oh the memories im in tears now oh the sweet memories! happy halo day indeed!!!! I LOVE YOU BUNGIE I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!! please make more than 3 halo games so i can come work for u guys when im done w/ school pleazse!!!!! i need more thant 3 halos and halo wars and stuff i NEED more

Yea, i gotta admit the new spartan model is awesome, however i think there still needs to be a lot of work done on it. one thing that i think they need to pay attention to more is the difference in the materials- right now they still seem a little bit like they are the same, maybe it is just the way the light hits the gloves- that needs to be changed. in that pic MC is in (what looks to me like) a dark, rusty hallway, but he has an enormous amount of light hitting him. Has anyone noticed that his neck seems abnormally long?

Indeed. This is infact the best update in a while. for all us Halo fans. It's amazing Bungie still pays attention to Halo 2, I Applaud to you Bungie! they'll release new maps for Halo2 which is amazing, that made me smile today. The Halo 3 picture of Master Chief is stunning. I love the detail. Out of all the game companies i've ever known and im sure to all fans here, Bungie is number one. Thank you Bungie, you guys rule, it must be tough for you right now, but keep up the good work. And lastly..... thanks for giving us this game and world called Halo. I'd give My house to you guys.

Halo 3 are the final chapter of the game. Every thing that had a begginning, had an end. Is going to be the best of all first person shooting game that out there. Gear of war is good, but halo 3 is perfect. Every Xbox 360 owner, must have this game! It will score over 10, when it come in stock. If any game report magazine giving under 10. WE SHOULD PROTEST THEM NOT TO DO THAT! Because we are the Halo Fan!

New maps?!?!?!?! OMG.... Did NOT see that coming. Multiplayer in Spring of Halo 3?!?!?!?! Life is good some days.

well not to be a downer for all this excitement.....theres just one thing that bothers me.....ok well since the new maps are going to be downloaded for the 360 i know theres going to be some jackasses who are going to screw with them and mod them, and no doubt its going to spread thro the interwebs affecting more jackasses and having them mod again. this could be good seening as bungie could maybe catch the problem before halo 3 comes out or it could be the same as halo 2 where you just get three lvl 30ish ppl and that one lvl 1 person named sir mods alot or something dumb like that. second of all the special rank system they said they were going to have for h3...well even if people cant mod well they can always bridge so if we have a leader board for h3 i doubt any of those ppl will be legit seening that the cheaters already have experice in halo 2 of getting around the "ban hammer" especially with all those 48 hour xbox live trials...make the acc on your 360 transfer it over to your old xbox hey....look at that mod for a day get my self a couple ranks YES MY DREAM COME TRUE I GOT MY "LEGIT" 44 [Edited on 11/15/2006]

New games, screenshots, Halo 2 maps and a Halo 3 commercial? Wow. However, Bungie, please [i]don't[/i[ let the public beta test Halo 3. I like the "secret" stuff. That is what makes me [i]want[/i] to wait for Halo 3.

Check it out You can see the Marathon logo on the rifle the MC is holding in the new screen shot. What if Bungie was just playing with us and released it next week, that would be pretty trippy. Come on H3.
