People aren't completely understanding the product. It's not a little box just for steam, its an entire gaming desktop that fits in the palm of your hand. And it is perfect for gamers on the go who don't want to drop 2 grand to get a really good gaming laptop. From a guy who does lan party's all the time, this would have been really helpful to have. Also people see the 1 grand and start running but they don't see the $500 version. And we can't really say much about it until we get the full specs

Who are their target audience? Console gamers are not going to buy it, people who already have a gaming PC are not going to buy it. As far as I can see they have a very limited market, but I guess it could grow if certain things happen (such as Half Life 3 being exclusive to 'Piston').

The PS3's initial price tags were $499 for the 20GB model and $599 for the 60GB model. And while we're at it, the 360's initial price tags were $299 for the core model and $399 for the Pro model.
