So I've been having issues lately with Skype. It used to turn on automatically when my laptop powered on, not it won't unless I do it myself. It also auto posts mood status' that I made months ago periodically. Quite frankly it is annoying. Is anyone else having similar issues or any at all lately?

It was probably just an update which reset the setting.

Just put it in your start-up folder, and it should start up on its own again. This can be found at: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup It will also probably show up if you search for 'startup' in the search bar. [Edited on 01.08.2013 1:56 AM PST]

I feel really stupid for not thinking of checking that. Ok so my issue with the startup is fixed, but still curious to how it would have gotten turned off. Anywho thanks guys, still unsure how to stop the mood thing. I am surfing around for it though.

It does that sometimes (regarding the mood status) and for the startup issue you have to go into your settings and enable start on boot (here is the guide on how to [url=http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows/How-do-I-stop-the-auto-start-of-Skype-on-boot-up/td-p/535421]do that[/url]) and you might be able to find the mood status options there as well (as I swear you can enable/disable as I had the problem before, I think it was to do with my iPhone having skype and the cross logins that occurred between devices) [Edited on 01.08.2013 1:00 AM PST]

I had this issue a while ago. You need to enable turn on Skype on start up from settings I think, and I managed to stop the annoying status updates by erasing my status from all devices I had Skype on.
