Why isnt Halo 4 as fun as Reach?
Im one of the minority who actually thought, From an MP standpoint mind you, That Halo Reach was a great game, I adored it in fact, Much better than Halo 3's -blam!- MP (Again, I know thats not an opinion shared by most of you, But anyway) Halo 4 just doesnt hold my attention as much, Dont get me wrong its a great game but it just lacks... I dont know, While playing it I just feel like its not something I can do for a long period of time any more, Reach was far more fun and exciting and just generally entertaining.
What the hell is Halo 4 missing?

I agree completely, there is just something so satisfying with Reach's matchmaking (I tend to like Halo 3 more, though). Halo 4 just seems stale and lacking, well, I don't really know. But whatever it is, I hope it comes back in Halo 5.

Being forced to play the same 2 maps all the time because no one seems to have the DLC may have something to do with it.

It would've been great if they didn't mess up custom games so bad and kept a lot of fan favorite gametypes.

343 took everything that people didn't like about Reach but made it worse and added more things like more AAs. Custom options are not good, they completely removed the ranking system. 343 what were you thinking?

I really don't know... When I purely look at how the MP functions, I feel that it should be the better game, but it just feels so... boring.

Halo 4 multilayer is worse than Reach. Personally, the game play feels too cautious and slow. It's hard to make a direct comparison though because of how different it is.

My only letdown in Halo 4 is the jetpack... I pretty much want a Tribes game for the Xbox and I thought that Bungie and then 343 would make that happen with their jetpacks... so disappointed.

I'm going to say this because I know that the 20-something-year-old neo-Naz1s on here hate it when I say it, but there is nothing wrong with casual gaming. Halo 2 was made to appeal to the casual gaming crowd and its matchmaking was actually very bad. It was highly unbalanced, too many glitches, hacking and errors, camping and unbalanced weapons etc. The only reason we like it is because for many of us (me included), it was the first online FPS game that we ever really took seriously and thus we nostalgia for it. But the game still was crap from a competitive standpoint, and Microsoft had to practically get on their knees just to get MLG to endorse it--even though MLG really thought it was crap.
