Does black ops 2 allow split screen online multiplayer?
Does it work like halo 4?
Do you lose your progress?
Can you play as a guest?

You can play splitscreen and the guest is exactly your level. If he/she goes into create a class, it will be tied to the guest, so you don't have to worry about anything changing your classes back.

The best part about this is if you have any unlock tokens the guest can use them to get what he wants and it waste 0 of yours.

In Bops you can. I played splitscreen online with my friend, and I was a guest. You don't get to keep your progress if you're a guest and sign out, but you keep your progress from match to match until then.
