Do you think anime people look white a lot of times?
At times, I find it hard to believe they are Asian. If most if their eyes weren't big, they would look Asian.

The only real Asian anime person I know off the top of my head is Renji Abarai. Also, no one thinks a stick person is a certain race. It's just a human. It's like a stick cow, no one really cares what color the cow is.

Not really. I just match the characters with their surroundings, how they talk, etc etc. I mean Guts from Berserk is obviously "white", but I can't say that about Haruka from iDOLM@STER, can't I?

My friend and I were actually talking about this topic a few days ago. We pretty much settled on that they're white (most of the time).

[/quote] I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure white people don't have tiny noses, huge eyes, and hair and eyes the colours of the rainbow. There isn't anything white or asian in terms of appearance, but the fact that they are drawn by Japanese people in Japan for a Japanese audience kind of implies that the characters would be Japanese (unless specifically shown or stated otherwise) despite lacking any stereotypical asian features.

In many Asian cultures lighter skin is more attractive. Because it showed wealth.
