Does Google want people to stop using YouTube?
The above question is rhetorical, please don't answer it seriously.
Am I the only one that doesn't understand Google's thinking when it comes to YouTube? Why do they keep expanding on the things we all said we hated and taking away the useful features? The new homepage is disgusting, the UI is the worst it's ever been, and there's no "More Videos" option, which, because of how effed up subscription boxes are, is a MAJOR flaw.

Why they would do this escapes me...[/quote] Mouseover the video and look in the top right corner, there's a little arrow pointing down. Click on that and it shows older/newer videos.

Youtube's UI and quality overall is going down with each subsequent update. I liked the old versions better.

I've had this update for about 2-3 months now and I have to say it's almost lost ALL user-friendliness with this update -_-*

Even after we get used to the new layout it's weaker than the previous one, and the one before that, and so on and so forth. It's not simply because we're adverse to change, it's because they're breaking things that work fine.

This always happens. Youtube changes their layout, people complain, want the old one back. People get used to it, then the cycle repeats when the new layout comes out.

[/quote] I actively browse the site, the main issue is that the UI is ugly an actually a lot slower than it used to be, and because there's no "More Videos" option anymore it's almost a 50% chance you won't see an upload from someone, because of how messed up subscription boxes are.

They also took down the dropdown menu for videos uploaded by the same user on the videos. Now, if you want to see videos uploaded by a certain channel, you have to manually go into the channel. Why they would do this escapes me...

Google is evil. I'm not being sarcastic. They're leading to the end of privacy as we know it (security and privacy are two different things). Also, do this (make sure you're not partnered): make a YouTube video criticizing a partnered YouTuber. You know, someone you don't like, but state it in the most mature manner as possible. Upload it, then wait... YouTube will remove the video and throw a strike in your face just for criticizing one of their paid partners. Why? Well, they make Google money. However, partners have the right to do things like post YT names on their Twitter accounts so their fanbase can attack them. Nothing happens to the partner. Google doesn't care about you unless you make them money. They also don't respect privacy at all, [url=http://i.imgur.com/VYV8M.png]image for reference[/url]. I will say though that they make quality products, and know how to run a business. I just don't like the way they treat their customers through the virtual world.

"The things we all said we hated" Well, I don't know what exactly you mean there, but Youtube is a very glitchy website that seems to always have some major flaw within it. Sub boxes in particular. What I don't like is the Google-Youtube integration. I sign up to Youtube because I want to use Youtube. If I want to use Gmail or whatever Google is running these days, I'll make a Google account.
