How do we make this community more awesome?
When destiny comes in 2013 how are we gonna great the gaming world with the best community ever?!
IDEAS WE NEED THEM!!!

We need to be open minded to new members. A closed elitist Community is probably the worst thing that we could turn into.

1. Freedom of opinion, that abides by diligence and civility during the exchange of said opinion. 2. More thread opportunities. The flood can't be the only off-topic place to go. Why don't we have more general game discussion? 3. Mods should be more engaging and less of a "Big brother" 4. Lets face it, we can't just sever all ties to Halo- it literally built Bungie and what they are today. But we need more participation in the new project. If this community was the best- it would resemble something like Steam or Valve's community. Engaged and participatory in nature. Embrace game Modifications Bungie, stop finely tuning what the community can do! Forge didn't have a rotation snap... WTF? Theres a big difference between matchmaking and private customs. 5.PC support for new project 6. Integrate private groups into the public forums. No specific ideas, just think it would be cool if they were streamlined- because right now the majority of them are dead/no activity. 7. Custom emblems. I've been on plenty of other forums that police custom emblems, its not that hard. no excuse. Also how about a sig at the bottom of posts. Like the motto, why not have that visible on our posts. Anyway, just ideas that get this community closer together, less Anons coming in with degenerate 4chan memes dominating critical discussion with "TLDR" or "WAll of text" cliches. Troll accounts are sickening as well, why can't we IP ban more frequently? Currently I see a cesspool of younger kids, memes, and trolls. Other members that post either get smashed by mob mentality or post rarely. Look at BNet universe and community threads. If these were playlists in Halo, they'd be cut by now. population dwindling.

Welcome them with open arms and jokes about their mothers at the ready. If they can't take a joke, clearly they don't belong. That being said, it might be helpful for us to get a few Destiny experts up and ready to help the new kids along should they need it. If I were new, having someone to show me around would certainly make me feel welcome. [Edited on 11.06.2012 9:50 AM PST]
