So I just finished the first movie. (Yes I know, i'm very late.) Does Frodo destroy the ring in the second movie?
Edit: About to start the 3rd movie. It's 4 hours long.

Its a metaphor for death.
Why are they killing themselves?!
because it's poetic to kill all the characters at the end of a legendary journey like that.
Wow...
He's off to the Undying Lands, yes. But the reason he is going is because it's the only place where he will find relief from the pain of being a ring bearer. That's why Bilbo is there too.

LOTR is the best movie series of all time (right next to the God Father), but the Hobbit is going to sum it all up with a blast, planning on seeing it on opening night sense it comes out on a Friday night
Posted by: DarkestSeptagon
Posted by: A Stolen Fruit You better be watching the Extended Edition OP.
I only bought the extended edition for the 3rd movie.
The third extended version is the worst of the extended editions (in so far as how much it improves over the original). The Two Towers is the one most improved.
Posted by: Graver18
Posted by: JMcDon15 More =/= better.
More is better when it requires that much to tell the story well.
Yes because scenes like Frodo and Sam finding Wood Elves after leaving the Shire and Merry and Pippin being buried alive by a tree really furthers the plot...

Also don't watch the extended editions.
Why wouldn't you want to watch the extended editions?
I felt like they were all pointless/stupid. At least in Fellowship and Two Towers. Return of the Kind had decent extended scenes but it just prolongs an already 3 1/2 hour movie.
I hereby ban you from ever watching Lord of the Rings again.
THIS!
