What I would do is hide a secret cache of Armor Locks.
Posted by: relliK42 A plaque containing Bungie.net community members.
This could be a feasible idea.

It wasn't my idea, but it went something like the following: Brig Gen Foman Maj Burrito SSgt Mythical Wolf Brig Gen Duardo Col Evilcam Gen Achronos Etc. Granted, there would be several thousand names on it, but that honestly is not all that many. Ranks could be determined based on trust rating and title prefixes. (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = PVT Honorable (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = Cpl Veteran (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = SSgt Noble (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = MSgt Senior (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = MGySgt Elder (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = SgtMaj Intrepid (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = 1st Lt Fabled (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = Capt Exalted (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) Member = Maj Forum Ninja = Col Master Forum Ninja = Brig Gen Bungie Employee = Lt Gen Superuser = Gen (All of these are legitimate Marine Corps ranks, but they could just as well be fictional if that was somehow preferable)
Best. Idea. Ever. [Edited on 09.29.2012 2:45 PM PDT]

Some kind of made-up, in-game advertisement (movie, game, or anything) with the release date as
Soon(TM)
-
The Arbiter is seen on various posters.

Something epic that showed symbolism of these times. A dark room that's only source of light came from a blue-flamed torch, under witch would have a plaque with the Septagon on it and it would say "The 7th Column". The back wall would have the signatures of all the employees at Bungie written on it. And when you walked in it played The Siege of Madrigal. The symbolism is that we, the community, are the torch. For Bungie is still running dark, but were burning bright. And blue.
-
Put Marty scaling some bigass cliff somewhere in it.
-
A mail sack behind a bush :)
-
Memorial wall of the people who made it through the darkness.
-
A secret boss called The Zython.
-
The Konami Code. They should put the Konami Code in Destiny.
-
If you've seen 1984 then I'd like Room 101. And when you first open it it's the beautiful scene of the rolling hills. Then when you walk into it, it turns into Room 101 from the movie. I feel like that'd make a very cool easter egg, especially in an open world game.

-
A secret NPC called Froman who is wearing a ninja outfit, far away from the busyness of the main map.
-
A small museum with a fish tank in it that has a miniature city mildly flooded by the water. A poster would be above it with the words 'THE FLOOD', and one of the skyscrapers in the mini city has the 7th column symbol on its front, referencing the Bungie Community forum.
-
A metal hand reaching out of the water, holding a lightning bolt, somewhere very secluded.
-
On a table somewhere, perhaps in a major city/village, a burrito with a fake moustache sits on a plate.
