Mods..Why do posts that you have been banned for re-appear after your

ban has expired? Can't mods delete you're post. As an example. My last ban was for a particular post. I just went back to the thread I got banned in and my post is still there. Couldn't this potentially still harm viewers if they were to go into that thread? Any insight would be great. Thanks. Discuss if you think posts you were banned for should re-appear or be deleted permanently.

 •
Posted by: Mythical Wolf Why would you need to see a post you've been banned for? You're the one that posted it so you should know what it was.
Simple, some tards use multiple accounts to log reports ... which the mods feed off, and as a reward ban the OP and/or lock the thread. So you get a ban, the reason being based on a post you can no longer see. How stupid is that ?!? Be like the police busting you for a crime, and then hiding the details or even basic reason for your arrest. Only after you have been sentenced and served the time do you find out what the supposed crime was. Guess thats one of the many things which make bungie.net great. also scores the award for the most locked threads.

I.e. one of my sarcastic threads gets me banned, that thread's gone forever since I was banned for it. It makes sense; why should I continue to gain satisfaction from the thread if it was made purely for dickery?
If a post is so terrible that people shouldn't be suffered to see it, then they either delete the post or perma-ban the individual.

 • Yup. That makes sense. Someone gets a 3-day for derailing a thread, so they don't deserve any of their posts they've ever made ever again ever.

 • >Why do posts that you have been banned for re-appear after your ban has expired Because the banning system is not built to do otherwise. Should it? Probably.

 • Because generally by the time the ban expires, the thread is long gone.

 •
Posted by: jacob crawford By the time their ban has lifted, who is ultimately going to go back and read the post?
Ironically ... the original poster, to find out what he/she did wrong. The funny part is sometimes the mods will include a link back to the offending post ... as a reference to why you got banned. The cracker part ... you can no longer see it ?!? (wonder who thought that idea would work)

 •
Posted by: FALSE R3ALITYx Or just don't create threads that harm the forums.
True that. And another pondering I'm having; Judging by your title, OP, you haven't received a ban for at least a year. Why does this bother you now?

 • I just don't really care. It affects me... not at all if a banned post/member is there or not. It does not affect my posts or their content, and if they reappear, it affects me in the same way. I'm more curious as to why this is a concern for you, OP...

 •
Posted by: Xplode441 If it was really bad, then you would have gotten a ban long enough so that the thread should be dead or archived. If not, then I would assume that if they deemed it bad enough they would edit it out.
This.
