Bungie Weekly Update

Unfortunately, Frankie's off lolling about the Carribean and was unable to bring you a Weekly Update this week. But I hear your cries. With the exception of that one guy asking for Noguchi's manbabies, you all want an update, and an update you shall get.

 • WOAH. An update that told us nothing about Halo 3, but there is Peter Jackson's name again. SO EXCITING!

 • The definition of the Weekly Update: "Each week we bring you an update on the antics, shenanigans and hi-jinks that constitute seven days inside Bungie Towers. We'll look at everything from AI to animation, from marketing to multiplayer and from physics to family. We'll talk to real Bungie stars about every facet of the creation of the biggest game Bungie has ever worked on : Halo 2." umm....is it just me or what KP said invalid? Yeah because you know he says the information of what Bungie does during the week is what defines the weekly update, yet rather in Frankie's original description he says they will be analyzing and looking at different parts of the current project (at that time Halo 2, but is now Halo 3.) So by saying that you aren't going to talk about Halo 3 in the weekly update is a weak defense when there is evidence contradicting this. Also, to use the words of Telecaster: "random person: yay! halo 3! you update me on it weekly! ima read dat bungie: er... can I tell you about Halo 3 with using Peter Jackson's name every 30 seconds? random person: no bungie: too bad" P.S. - Why doesn't Bungie want to hype up their game? It just doesn't make sense from a marketing standpoint.

 • I think we could use an update of Marty's general doings on a weekly basis in addition to the normal weekly update. Can you imagine what it must be like for him to fly halfway around the country to swing a stick in the air for 15 minutes while looking down the shirt of one of the flute players and then come back? LOL, I think the possibilites are endless and hopefully he wouldn't mind... Thanks for being such a great sport Marty. [Edited on 10/8/2006]

 • Cool update, Loved the bit about O'Donell smacking Ninjer Clown, to respond to one of the responses above, the weekly whats update clearly stated that Marty is hard at work keeping the rest of the said "developers" hard at work therefore they have given us a clue in to whats going on during Halo 3's development. Keep up the good work Marty! [Edited on 10/8/2006]

HA HA :) [Edited on 10/8/2006]

 •
Posted by: Hstorm A poor update. Bungie has betrayed its fans.
Nah, the fans are still here - just the fair weather fanatics who are disappointed, and Bungie can certainly live without them. Good job KP.

It just doesn't make sense from a marketing standpoint.
The basic idea of that definition is this : "Each week we bring you an update on the antics, shenanigans and hi-jinks that constitute seven days inside Bungie Towers". The rest is simply an explanation on what that might entail. Also, Bungie still does talk about Halo 3. You have to remember that it's still relatively early in Bungie's progress with the game, and they don't really want to give everything away yet. Yes, they want to hype up their own game. That's why they made a trailer. But that game is still in the making. Besides, that description of the Weekly Update is dated. Bungie has had an update every week since long before any news of Halo 3, and you all were okay with that. Because they're withholding secrets, it'll just be that much juicier when you first hear it. You'll thank them later. And as someone has already said, Bungie owes you nothing. And oh yeah, an update with humor and no Halo 3 is better than no update at all. Thanks KP. [Edited on 10/8/2006]

 • What a bunch of suck ups. You know what? ya bungies doesn't owe us anything, but for all you guys to say nice up date? HaHa it's nothing like all the past ones so why say nice up date? Oh, are you the ones trying to get on his buddy list? :) Because you owe us nothing, why not just post " Nothing to post this week" ? I bet people will still say " Nice up Date " HaHa Suck ups :)

 • A lot more people would be pissed off if they said there was no update. At least we're entertained. That's why we said nice update. Update is actually one word, by the way. And no one is expecting anything by saying that. Oh, and I can see it now. KP is browsing through the posts. "Oh, that guy liked my update! I'll add him as a friend." Likely. [Edited on 10/8/2006]

[/sarcasm]
Is it a good sign if he gets bored of it, does that mean were going to get bored of it that quick, this is not a very good sign for halo3... and this was the only time in this update halo3 was mentioned; no no.. not very promising at all. but still a great update.
