what happens after halo 3:ODST?
I just finished the ODST campaign recently again for the first time in a year or so, and i'm wondering what happens to buck, dare and the other ODST'S? Is there anything in the books about them or were they just made up for ODST?

I had a lot of fun playing as a more human type of character. I think in halo 4 there is a good possibility we might see the return of buck as a spartan IV like other members said above me [Edited on 06.18.2012 3:40 PM PDT]

As much as an ODST 2 sounds fun, you can just play Halo 2 and Halo 3 and get the gist without playing as weak ODSTs. [Edited on 06.18.2012 3:19 PM PDT]

Because ODST's like buck would be a candidate for a spartan program especially with everything he has been through. I wonder if 343i will include buck in the reclaimer series of games since it is four-ish years after the human/covenant war ended

Buck and Dutch's voice actors (Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin <3) are voice actors for ODST troopers inHalo 3 so its plausible for them to have gone through the Halo 3 campaign with the Chief and then left with the rest of the surviving forces before Johnson, the Arbiter, and John activated Installation 04(b). Of course, that is leaving A LOT to the imagination regarding these guys :P [Edited on 06.18.2012 10:46 AM PDT]

One of the Halo comic book series, [i]Helljumper[/i], follows Dutch and Mickey before the ODST game, and the short story [i]Dirt[/i] in [i]Halo: Evolutions[/i] features the Rookie, but aside from them and the fact Buck was on Reach, we know nothing about what happens to them outside of the game. ODST 2 wouldn't have to conflict with Halo 3. It could show what the squad get up to during the events of Halo 3, or what happens to them after the end of the war.

thanks for the responses everyone.... too bad we don't find out more about them and i highly doubt there will be an ODST 2 as halo 3 pretty much followed up.. Too bad because the ODST characters were really interesting :(
