What year does mw2 take place in?
Ok I know its a little ate to ask this but I wanted to know but no one I know does. What year does the mw2 story about soap take place in? Cuz I'm playing the mw3 where you first play as Yuri where you guard soap when he's being healed and it does not look futuristic. Can someone explain this?

Call of Duty 4 takes place in 2011 and in the beginning of MW2 it says "5 Years Later." MW2 and MW3 both take place in 2016.
