How does Gravemind teleport?

I recently played through Halo 2 tiwice through just for fun, and I picked up on something that I guess I hadn't payed much attention to before. That is Gravemind's ability to teleport the chief and the arbiter to wherever he desires. Does he posses some sort mystical trait or technilogical advancement that allows him to do this? There must be some sort of rational explanation here.

 • Has anyone actually considered the possibility that Gravemind hopped aboard In Amber Clad after the Flood hijacked it and crashed it into High Charity? Sure, he's huge and behemothic, but Amber could probably hold him.

 • Ok, 2 things, one the prophet that gravemind captures is me. second, if i am not mistaken, the arbiter refers to gravemind as "parasite". just something to think about.

 • In halo 1 in the swamp level with the flood, at the end the oracle can teleport you, and he teleports you to the library. Oracles can teleport stuff i guess. I'm guessing since the gravemind "floodinized" lol and infected the other oracle in halo 2 (as seen in the video with gravemind) he then used it's power to teleport the MC and the Arbiter.

 • Remeber how when the Flood take over a Human or Elite, they take their knowledge and absorb it? That's how they learned to use weapons and vehicles. So when the Gravemind captured Penitent Tangent he learned about Halo and its weapons and how to teleport. And when he captured the prophet (forgot which one) he learned about the Covenant and High Charity. That's how the Gravemind can teleport and enter High Charity.

 • Well the flood are shown to be capable of fixing and changing technology around them, it wouldn't be impossible for gravemind to sort of "hack" into Halo and use it's teleporting grid.

 • The Gravemind captured Penitent Tangent (forgot how it was spelled) remember, he probably uses PT's ability to teleport on himself and other people like the MC and the Arbiter.
If I remember correctly, Cortana, somehow...accessed the Alpha Halo's teleportation grid.
No,In Halo 1,the moniter teleported MC to the Library from 343GS,then the 2 betrayls from the Library.Than Cortona studied or something, than she knew you needed energy from like a shield like MC,that's how they teleport.GraveMind probally uses the Elite Flood's sheilds to teleport.Or,he has a way to teleport on Halo.Fact:He did teleport to High Charity.

 • I do think he controls the Halo teleportation network. Like how you used it in Halo: CE.
