MASS EFFECT 1 is hard...(you're all sick people)
I'm playing just for the story on casual and its pretty dang hard for casual.. Is ME1 harder than ME2? I can just goof around on casual in ME2. I was just surprised when I get one hit k.o.'d on the second mission of the game on casual.
Do I suck(obviously) or is this just a hard game.

I'm guessing a lot of people in this thread like to go with renegade options... Anyway OP, you don't suck, you just really need to practice with the controls and learn how to control your teammates. Once you master that and weapon upgrades you'll be golden.

Maybe it's not that you're playing on Casual, but that you are a casual.

I can't remember the difficulty on ME1 being significant, though I do believe ME2 is slightly easier. But then again, it all depends on your setup, weapons, play style etc etc.

After a while you will acquire better gear, it will get easier

I beat the game on the hardest difficulty. I really didn't think it was hard.

I concur. ME1 has a sharper learning curve when compared to ME2. The latter game does have a better tutorial.

I really don't mean any offense when I say this, but I didn't find any part of the casual playthrough hard. Any reason why it's hard? Trying not to be offensive here but can you aim? Are you able to directly shoot an enemy without the reticule going all over the place? You kind of have to just aim in the general area in the first place so I'm not sure what your problem is. Maybe you are under-leveled? Or just don't have the right equipment?

You get used to it, just fire in bursts, always look around to see if there's something you can scavenge to get better weapons and armor, and always save frequently.
