How much money did bungie sell the rights for halo for?

MicroSoft bankrolled Halo from day 1 of it's inception, as a result Bungie never held the rights to the frnachise.

It was more of a deal. If Bungie let Microsoft have the Halo IP, then Microsoft will give Bungie the money to make the game.

Not sure. I'm not sure when the transfer of rights happened. Prior to Bungie buying their independence from MS, or as part of the negotiations.
