Per Audacia Ad Astra - Desktop Wallpaper
Any way to get a desktop sized version of the Per Audacia Ad Astra image in the "See You Starside" homepage newsfeed?
Looks like just the right blend of awesome to adorn the background of my screen.

Oh I'm open to feedback on the one I helped to make. It is at heart a dual screen intended image. I could make a more balanced single screen version if there was interest.

There are also a number of secrets hidden in the image. Some not so subtle, others a bit more tricky. I also went to religious efforts to create it in accordance to bungie scripture. Using the number 7 throughout the process. (transparency percentages, stroke fill percentages, and various other adjustments). Yes, this is also a shameless bump.

Great job on the wallpaper, my only problem is the Zoidberg25 in the bottom left square and that's only because I'm ocd and hate seeing names on wallpapers.

In the spirit of open source creativity would you mind sharing the photoshop files with the layers intact? (or export the equivalent?) I wouldn't mind a version without the moon in the top right corner - just the star map. :)

Great minds think alike. Was about to post a thread when I found this one. :) Was wondering if I'd have to make my own or not. Yours is a pretty good substitute for the dry Bungie nipple. Now my desktop. :D Might have a crack at doing one myself when I get some time. :)

How did you make this/ find it?[/quote] Thanks. Composited a bunch a photos I found about the internet. Photo of the moon in the corner was easy to find - as well as the starfield. Used some of the reach desktop pictures for the nebula dust clouds (figured it was the best way to match bungie's style). The map was a lucky find - it's a german map of the moon from around 1800 - spent the most time looking for that. All found through google. [Edited on 07.17.2011 8:20 PM PDT]
