how do you put down your weapon in Halo Reach

to lower you wepon in halo reach change your controls to bumper jumper hold down on the d pad a button and the b button and the right stick

Stand over another weapon with two weapons and pick that one up. It will put down the weapon you're holding in place of it.

If you mean lower it: Reload button swap grenades button click in the right stick hold down on the d-pad Hold all those down for 2-3 seconds and you will have lowered your gun.
