when Jorge said tell them to make this count. well it didn't as soon as he destroyed that one ship sacrificing him self hundreds of more ship's came pointless couldn't auntie dot destroy the ship herself.

The slipspace drive would have obliterated Jorge, with or without Armorlock. Also, he had no idea that there were many more ships on the way. All of Noble team simply assumed that the large carrier above Reach was the only one.

We have no idea what planet the Chief is near, though it is most likely a Forerunner construct based on the 'Array' symbol seen on the surface. There is no indication in the Reach announcement trailer that the Chief's half of the Forward Unto Dawn was near Reach. Entering slipspace does not move you to somewhere else in the universe instantly. You go into slipspace because there, the universal speed limit is not in effect and you can travel many times the speed of light thanks to the slightly different laws of physics. An improperly mounted drive would just transition you into slipspace and likely tear you apart atom by atom, and leave your remains there.
Wow that just made Jorges death a bit more depressing. I was hoping he would just be floating somewhere :(

The Legendary Planet looks nothing like Reach. It looks more Forerunner than anything.

wat the win x10 he is not orbiting reach or onyx get your facts straight it is a planet of unknown but it is clearly forerunner in origin
Posted by: Mufassa1996 1. No one had any idea about how many more super carriers where about to enter Reach's orbit. 4. The super carrier that Jorge destroyed was the greatest sacrifice a spartan can ever make, there where millions of convenant onboard their. The first Noble 6 did it as well.
Your information on ships is a little off. The ships that slipped in at the end of LNoS were assault carriers, which are significantly smaller. And the ship that the previous Noble Six took out was a CCS Class Battle cruiser, which is tiny in comparison to the super carrier.
Posted by: Kamikasiman87 Jorge's death was unnecessary all he had to do was armor lock and by some miracle survive the fall and eventually recover similar to Noble 6. uhhh jorge didnt die he teleported with a ship that had slipspace capabilities and when he gets out of slipspace he could go back to reach but of course there would be tons of elites wanting to get to the corvette so if he could hold them off he would survive :-)

We never knew where he ended up at, so we can't know for sure he's dead. He could have appeared at a 2552 Mc'Donalds.

1. No one had any idea about how many more super carriers where about to enter Reach's orbit. 2. Spartan's don't just sacrifice themselves for a stupid reason, they know their priorities and what is necessary. 3. Capitalize your sentences 4. The super carrier that Jorge destroyed was the greatest sacrifice a spartan can ever make, there where millions of convenant onboard their. The first Noble 6 did it as well. 5. You have a run-on sentence, please fix it. Otherwise no one can take you seriously. Sorry but improper grammar use to YOUR extent is very irritating to me. A few errors are permissible lol

Everything in Reach is pointless.

Are you clueless? Auntie Dot couldn't do -blam!- to the ships. She's an A.I. Not some huge-ass mac cannon! [Edited on 05.17.2011 5:43 PM PDT]

Nobody knew that 300+ ships were about to slip in system. He thought he was saving the planet. And it was a super carrier, which is 17 miles long. No Spartan would question their sacrifice for that kind of a kill. [Edited on 05.17.2011 5:42 PM PDT]

It wasn't an actual explosion. It was a slipspace rupture. Meaning, even if he had Armor Locked, he still would've been transported into slipspace. Sadly, it is nearly impossible that Jorge survived that.
