Play as covies?
I think that you might be able too because i think i heard from some magazine that they still had a secret game mode that would kinda be like online co-op thingy with objectives and one team would be covies and the other Spartans. they also siad there would be a coive that could climb on walls. I have no idea if this info is correct so don't take it too seriously

Im not sure how fun it would be, it wouldnt be like halo anymore it would be wierd. I'm actually really not sure how it would play out either.

Who said anything about playing as the elites specifically, he was asking about covies in general. You could end up playing as the brutes, or maybe a new race perhaps? *gasp, shock, horror*

UltimatumX is right I don't remember anything being confirmed about that, just rumored. Plus no one has said anything like the elites being the same exact size as the spartans. The elites are taller and have a oddly shaped body(neck/head). Man I don't remeber seeing some people from the old b.net. There are a lot of new people. O and Stosh are we allowed to link are chapters to our sigs or not?

I belive it was confirmed in the February 2004 issue of GMR on page 59, it reads, "This time around, players can opt to represent the Covenant forces or humans, which brings some outrageous possibilities into play. One Covenant unit is reportedly able to scale walls, ape-style" Whether or not this is true I am unsure, but I do not believe this magazine would present false information. But I must once again state that I still have my doubts about the credibility of this statement. It would be pretty sweet if this is true though... [Edited on 4/13/2004 7:25:18 PM]

large human vs covie multiplayer battles are confirmed but that might not mean you can play as covies

I've heard the rumors, but i havent seen it in bungie writing. Until you hear it from frankie or sketch or another member of the bungie team its still rumor, but you do have to admit it would be cool :-D.
