What kind of Spartan is Jorge? Why did he sacrafice him self over Six?
I notice that Jorge is alot larger than all of the other Spartan III's. Also if you listen to one of his firefight diologues he says, "You three's sure do get a nice set of armor." So what does that make him a Spartan II. Because his armor looks like Spartan III. If he were a Spartan II he would not have waisted him self like he did because he was ALOT more expensive, and Six would have had to have sacrificed hime self.
What do you guys think?

That would be out of character I think. besides, it was an honor thing, he lived on Reach so he wanted to sacrifice his life for it. Even if 6 wanted to arm the bomb himself I doubt Jorge would have let him do it.

Noble's ranks are all Navy (Warrant Officer, Lieutenant, LtCommander, Commander), and all the MM ranks (apart from WO) are Army ranks. The two cross over for Warrant Officer, but aside from that, all the MM ranks are Army. Jorge, Jun and Emile are all Warrant Officers, and thus 6 far outranks them at Lieutenant.

He sacrifices himself for his home planet. It's in his character. It's the same reason he uses his body as a shield to protect the civillian girl. I mean, if the zealot wanted to he could kill Jorge just sitting there, yet Jorge protects the girl without any thought for his own safety. He's an honorable person. Then again, even if Six had of argued, Jorge would just of picked him up and thrown his out anyway. SII beats SIII. :P

Noble Team doesn't follow the same rankings that we do. Kat is a Lt. Commander for example. When they say Lt. for 6, they don't mean Lt. Colonel. So I would say that 6 was ranked lower than Jorge. I would fit in Lt. before or after Corporal in our ranks.

As to why the SMACs didn't take out the Supercarrier - there was a thread a while ago, and it was worked out that you would require 70+ SMACs to take out the shield. Just the shield. There are 20 SMACs over Reach. Go do more math. Does [i]anyone[/i] on this forum know/care anything about the canon, and yet when they clearly know nothing, are still happy to band around blatant mistruths as fact? The MAC Guns got owned in space and on the ground. High Charity destroyed most of them. Those it didn't get to were shut down on the ground. Thats what "Generator defense" is about, defending MAC Generators. Jorge thought he was saving Reach from the ONLY Supercarrier.. However Reach was assaulted by the ENTIRE Covenant fleet. The most annoying part is if one of your fireteam survives. Let's call him Jimmy. This is how it goes: Jorge: Damn one of us has to arm the bomb. Also you have to jump off this ship. Jorge: No, I can't let someone else die for me. Jimmy: But I'm screwed anyway! The only way off this ship is jumping and I won't survive that cos I'm not a Spartan. Besides I want to do this. Noble Six wasn't WORSE than Jorge. Remember, Six was compared to JOHN. Just because you have better enhancements doesn't necessarily mean you will always do better in combat.

Jorge is a spartan II with spartan III armor. It's just like Master Chief. Chief has spartan VI armor but is a spartan II, I think.
