No one really tells you about the mountain man phase when growing out a beard.
You just gotta not shave and let it grow to the length you need and it can get so scraggly lol.
But I think it shall be luxurious once it’s finished growing.

Once it reaches a certain length, zippers in jackets and such really become the enemy.

Edited by Speaker: 12/5/2025 2:00:50 PMThe key is to learn proper beard care, and to visit a barber at least once every two months, well worth the investment and time in the chair. Look into specifically beard wash, and beard oil or cream depending on your preference some people prefer the oil because the cream makes them feel greasier but I don't have that issue, the follicles absorb it easy enough for me, also comb it every day. You can skip becoming Old hobo Joe with simple hygienic beard care- If long and luxurious is what you want.

Aside from laziness I have no idea why you’d ever grow a beard. I hate having facial hair so much.
