HC anti barrier alternative
Anyone got a better idea than HC anti barrier? With the exception of the solar exotic one (name escapes me) and wishender bow... all the other HCs I tested hit like wet noodles and I'm stuck reloading while the champ barriers up and heals again...
I suck with snipers (yes skill issue) but there's got to be a better alternative to HCs for barrier champs. Any suggestions would be awesome!
Edit: thanks all for the suggestions! The new special HC and the void LMG are two sound options imo. IDK how I got the LMG (my titan has/uses it) but its a start. 😃👍 Now I am interested in the special HC....

Any weapon with destabilising rounds, as long as there are some adds around to proc volatile rounds. Choir of One is a standout.

Seems like a bug; hand cannon pierced shield but did not stun, when I tried using. Last season had artifact explosion which was very effective on champions.

It does great damage to champions and okay damage to bosses, but it shreds barriers like they're tissue paper.

Revision Zero might be worth a try. It has intrinsic anti-barrier, & it just got a perk similar to kinetic tremors added to it.

I don’t know why they all of a sudden went away from combining weapons in the artifact slots. Why was it so hard to put anti barrier HC/Sidearm, overload pulse/scout rifle, and overload auto rifle/smg? Sick of being so limited. I’m probably one of only five people who actually like the simple challenge that champions offer to the combat, but it feels like every season Bungie are determined to make even me hate them by making our weapon options so limited.

There is a void exotic machine gun that is intrinsic anti barrier and I think the exotic heavy burst pulse is as well

You could try the spread shot hand cannons, they might hit harder.

1 ReplyThe new [b]Uncivil Discourse[/b] handcannon from [b]Renegades[/b] is a Special Ammo weapon. It has a decent amount of zoom and hits much harder than a standard handcannon, effectively making it a legendary version of [b]Eriana’s Vow[/b] (the Solar Exotic you mentioned) when you have the Anti-Barrier handcannon mod equipped. It is also a [b]Heat[/b] weapon, meaning you can avoid having to deal with reloads entirely if you can properly manage your heat buildup. (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)
