Goodbye Edge of Fate, you won’t be missed.

Someone else’s post inspired me to post this. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/265086734/0/0/1 I’ve been doing a little bounty prepping this last day or so. Mainly because I just wanted something mindless and easy to do for a change. Compare Kepler to the Dreaming city, the Moon, Nessus, the EDZ, Savathun’s Throne World, Europa, hell even the Cosmodrome and Neomuna. Kepler is an uninspired rabbit warren of blandness. It doesn’t even fit in with the look and feel of Destiny. It was done on the cheap and made as difficult as possible to traverse through to waste time. Go for a drive on any of the destinations and you’ll quickly see the difference. The beauty and wonder of Destiny was lost with this 💩 show of an expansion. It’s literally their worst showing in nearly every category within Destiny. Worst destination Worst skybox (what skybox? Except for the occasional glimpse it’s like we never see more than 30 feet in front of us. As for that yellow-green sick coloured traversal section to the bland Fallen boss I dont remember the name of, -blam!--ing gross 🤢🤮) Worst activities. Worst experience on launch Worst grind Worst mechanics ( Matterspark and the other two, especially that -blam!--ing relocator🤮) The Portaloo 6th Best or 5th Worst Story (Edited). Worst Campaign, except CoO Shove it in the DCV, then set fire to it so we can be sure it never escapes. Good riddance to bad rubbish. It’s the first time since ShadowKeep I haven’t completed the campaign on all three characters. Just couldn’t bear to do it again. I didn’t do fabled or mythic either for the same reason. I’d rather play Avalon Ultimate Conquest eternally than ever set foot on those miserably designed missions in EoF’s campaign again.
Literally the only good things about Edge of Fate were the guns and the armour. Edit :- and the Title screen music, mainly due to D1 memberberries.
Edit 2:- After consideration and someone’s opinion below I am prepared to concede that the actual story was certainly objectively better than Lightfall, ShadowKeep, CoO and probably Warmind too. The fact that I didn’t like it is definitely linked to the campaign package it was wrapped up in warping my judgement.

Edge of fate was definitely done on the cheap, but so was renegades. At least renegades has personality, and more importantly, no matters park! But both have silent movie text conversations and renegades has a lot of that seasonal/episodic busywork format happening where you're talking to someone, then have to listen to a recording of them 2 seconds later, then have to load into 3 different locations just to talk to people on your ghost, and then go back to where you started, which you could've done all that and not moved an inch. Renegades is great, don't get me wrong, but it has a ridiculous amount of filler/padding, less actual missions than EoF, and most of the missions are just the destination/seasonal activities. But it's got star wars so it apparently gets a pass... Both were done on the cheap because clearly all the money is going to marathon.
