Astral Alignment Scoring on Ultimate Difficulty is Not Worth It
Just to iterate, that activity on Ultimate difficulty with matchmaking by itself is hard enough. You're better off not doing it if you're looking for score-based rewards as even the top 550 Power player in a good session might barely get away with a simple B-rank. Anyone who does worse usually ends up with a C+ or lower, meaning that you won't get the bonus drops for getting a B-rank, even at 550 Power.
I can only imagine the suffering of having to do custom modifiers to get better score. It's just not worth it. I still think the score system right now isn't good design.
EDIT: Also, Contest of Elders is still suffering. I don't understand how you go from The Whisper to Contest of Elders in terms of difficulty spikes. They are not comparable at all, even if the revive issue did eventually get fixed.

1 ReplyNot to take away from your other points as I havent been checking the scoring, but Contest of Elders is much better, you get ~4 revives everytime you get to the servitors room...which is around every 3 matches.

Talking about scoring and how impossible it is, the quick playlist is a complete joke. Since I passed the 300 power mark, I've never been able to get the bonus loot there. Completely useless. Bungie's "one-size-fits-all" design destroyed so many activities with these dumb modifiers and scoring system.
