After today's update, I am no longer able to launch Destiny 2 from Steam. I was able to play last night with no problems.
The issue I am seeing is I click play on Steam, the Battleye window shows up and states the following:
18:40:14: Starting BattlEye Service. . .
18:40:38: Updating. . .
18:40:40: Launching game. . .
This window disappears and normally Destiny 2 would launch. However, despite the game showing as running on Steam and within Task Manager, the game never loads.
I have since tried the following resolutions:
Followed all steps in the Steam Support Guide.
Restarted my computer.
Verified game files within Steam.
Reinstalled Destiny 2.
Reinstalled BattlEye.
Redownloaded all drivers (Graphics, Audio, Network, etc.)
Redownloaded C++ redistribs.
Disabled/Ended all services of other Anti-Cheats (Riot Vanguard, Easy Anti-Cheat)
I even went as far as to install Windows 11 from Windows 10.
None of these have fixed the issue. I am also not seeing any error codes within BattlEye or Destiny 2 displaying. There are no crashes or events in Event Viewer that are related to Destiny 2 or BattlEye.
I have launched other games (GTA 5, R6) that use BattlEye and they launch with no issues. All other games also launch fine via Steam.
If any other information will be of assistance that I have not included, please let me know.

3 RepliesFound these steps on reddit that worked! Delete destiny2.exe Verify game files (it said some were missing, obviously, and recaptured them) Delete steam_api64.dll (I think that's what its called?) Relaunch The game now opened as expected

Facing the same issue. BattleEye would initiate and then it would sit on desktop, not launching the game at all while running processes in the background with 0% usage.
