Cayde’s Fate Mission Bugged
Where is the communication on this known bug where new players cannot rank up their guardian due to not being able to complete the Cayde’s Fate mission in the timeline? The DLCs have been on sale, new players have purchased and they cant progress in their guardian rank to do things such as putting on armor mods, something very important to end game content.
Why has this not been addressed more? If you cannot fix the bugged mission, at least auto complete the rank for the new players so they don’t make the decision to not purchase further DLCs and ultimately decide to stop playing. The goal is to retain players, not have them buy your content and not fix the said content so they can continue to play.
Please address this further so the new players that us veteran players bring in will continue to play the game because as of right now, there is no point for them to even start the game. The lack of communication on this does not display that Bungie wants to bring in new players when you guys won’t even fix or further address this major bug for new players.
Simply stating “we are aware of this” means nothing. What are you currently doing to address this?

I FULLY AGREE WITH THE ABOVE! I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETE IT FOR 4 DAYS... I'M STILL RUNNING WITH RANK THREE, I THOUGHT IT WOULD WORK AFTER THE UPDATE, BUT NO, IT STILL WON'T LET ME GO ANYWHERE ELSE FROM THE SECURITY ROOM... (THE ANSWER IS SCARY "WE'RE IN THE KNOW")

Well, since no official response past "we aware", it is safe to assume the worse: developers do in fact not care, busy browsing TikTok or something, do not have any idea how to fix bugs, do not have any game masters to fix thing by hand, lost game engine souse codes, and so on...

I have the same problem. I bought all the DLC's since they were on sale, but can't play half of the content I payed for, because I cannot finish this mission. That's really disappointing, as I really enjoyed the game so far...

Bungie?? Can we get something other than “it’s being investigated”?? We have new lights that can’t do half of the games content to the full extent. No making builds because they can’t put armor mods on. No playing trials (the already dead gamemode with 100 total players) because it requires rank 4. If you’re trying to make a better streamline process for new lights, this is doing the complete opposite of what you are trying to achieve. Even better with no further comms on the issue.

This is what happens when CEO's fire half of the staff and expect profit in return. Game falls to pieces. EXCEPT this has been an issue since this mission first came out years ago. Keep making noise so bungo might actually fix it. It's locking people out of guardian ranks but it is also locking people out of Legend title. It's a multi million pound / dollar game, start looking after it at some point please

Edited by Guardian0842: 10/18/2024 3:01:31 AMI am a new player that started the game 1 week ago, and its been a pain in the -blam!- the whole time bcs i somehow had a fast progress but cannot rlly "progress" in the game bcs of my rank 3, im legit stuck and waiting on devs to do something and FAST, its a major problem for the game rn, when u go to the hub tower, guess what? ppl with guardian names and rank 3 are running around, so yeh a lot of new players just arrived on the game and the first experience they had with bungie is, u guys take us more than 100e to get the full game while the "full game" is bugged as hell, please fix make my money worth the shot, im actually enjoying myself on this game but hating on bungie hard, u guys cant even fix a website for WEEKS, and tbh, allowing players to change their nicknames is not big deal, it should have been fixed a long time ago jeez, WHERE ARE THE DEVS?

I strongly agree with your opinion. Also, if it can't be fixed, I think it's better to remove the mission from Guardian Rank.

I just want play I buy all dlc , and i cant start the first,just because your animation is missing I can’t search player for raid I can’t upgrade my guardian progression I can’t be nothing Just BECAUSE YOUR ANIMATION IS MISSING IN THE FIRST QUEST i try to stay 2hour in the quest , is not worked Pls fix that , really Its a priority for new player I just want a animation for finish the quest , please . 2 RepliesI have played so many games and I have never seen such nonsense in my life.! There is a bug in a section of the game that prevents you from progressing and you do not fix it! It's like a joke I have been waiting for it to be fixed for 1 week I try 100 times every day this is completely theft of labor. They do not even tell people that it will be fixed or give a date, they do not even look at the opened help requests! I have to say this is the worst game I have ever played, it is a game full of bugs and the game support team is terrible.

I started this game a week ago and have been completely hooked. Because of the fact that I can't get past this mission/rank up past Rank 3. I am struggling to maintain the motivation to keep playing despite being "addicted" a couple of days ago. Please fix this soon and keep us updated on the fix.

I am in the same boat I can not rank up because of Cayde's Fate Mission once you clear the room it does nothing just sitting there looking at Cayde type away and this the only thing keeping me from ranking up Bungie.
