More Privacy
We need to be able to make our profiles completely private. [b]Even from 3rd party apps.[/b]
Too often, a certain type of player will go scour your profile to justify why your opinion is irrelevant. It isn't their place to arbitrate who gets to speak. I've had people harassing me in private messages with this -blam!- too.
If moderators won't do anything about these individuals, can we at least disarm them?
It's getting to the point where I don't want to participate in the forum or the game even. Playing just reminds me of the experience I have on here.

I know a lot of toxic people in this forum no matter what opinion you shared they will try to bully you. Best is don’t feed to their Ego just ignore them. Their food is your attention. I also understand Mods are not that active or rather there is too much for them to filter so lots of negative behavior is active in this forum without accountability.

5 RepliesBungie isn't in control of 3rd party apps and they have no incentives either way about keeping their information accurate or private. Just as an example I have 22 extra Prestige Leviathan Clears that weren't recorded on Raid Report and I have a Week One Salvation's Edge clear that wasn't recorded as well so I have the jacket and bag but Raid Report doesn't have a record of that clear. That said no shown experience is the same as no experience at all. The people who check experience in game are trying to preserve their time and the people who check experience in the forum are trying to pick out the goofballs who have opinions on content they don't have experience in. Imagine me (not a carpenter) trying to tell a carpenter how to make a table or a chair. The obvious response is that I either need to get some skin in the game or stay in my lane

3 RepliesNot long ago a player did just that to me. He went in and linked my API and claimed I hadn't even played the game. Tried telling him to use the right console since I'm linked to PSN, Xbox and steam. Then he claimed I had never raided, I told him to check again because I have several clears in multiple raids and dungeons. Then he claimed I didn't know how raids work because I haven't raided since witch queen. All because I said -5 light isn't such a big deal. Some people are just plain stupid and need to grow up.

If they're willing to do that to discredit your opinion, why take them seriously? Ignore and/or block and call it a day. You can't stop people from having opinions about your opinions, even bad ones.

1 ReplyRegardless of your reasoning for this post, I do agree that people should have ways to make it where no one can see raid history, dungeon, status of any kind if you don't like it. It's just a way for people to trash you or think you're not a good player all over numbers and clears. At the end of the day it's a video game and nothing more.

Nah, the bad players always have the same garbage opinions and it shows. There's a reason why someone would have their stats private, because they suck at every aspect of the game. Which is funny, because if anyone saw hidden stats when checking a RR for an actual Raid, they'd just be more likely to kick that person.

Trials cheaters having another tool in their belt to stop people from seeing their trials report of 1000 matches with 100% accuracy on all weapons. Also the noobs who beg for carries in dungeons, raids, trials, etc, could hide their info. So when you go to lookup the guy saying "15+ clears KWTD fast run" It wouldn't show you they've only done the raid once as ad clear and it took 6 hours. Those kind of people need to be called out. It's a shame your going through that but having such a tool would be too powerful for all the wrong reasons.
