I get your point. But there’s no such thing as hate speech. Words are but words. Insults yes. Slurs maybe. But no such thing as hate speech.

If you believe in hate speech, you by extension believe in not being able to speak freely. Given it's basically becoming punishable to speak in such a manner. Don't be a jerk, don't be angry, upset , annoyed , irritated, don't be anything negative it's easy right? It's easy to suppress the negative completely right? It's so easy to just suppress being human right?

My closest friend in the entire world, whom I’ve known since I was a child is an African American. You’re telling me, if someone goes up to them and disrespects them using hate speech (let’s just say N word) that my friend can’t be angry because the other person wants to be disrespectful/ hateful? (That’s why it’s called hate speech) At no point have I said anything about being against freedom of speech, I’m just against Racism/ -blam!-/ verbal abuse. I personally believe in treating my fellow humans, like humans. Sorry if you’re against that. You can be respectul for the every day price of Free ninety nine.

I'm saying you don't beat something by becoming a different form of the same thing. You don't beat hate with another form of hate. Your friend can be angry they're only human. It's what they do with it that counts. I'm against continuing cycles. Which is what people keep doing. Continuing the cycle.

Your logic can be inverted, That’s like saying “It’s not hate speech I’m just being racist” ^Racism btw (bigotry terms) is a form of hate speech. I don’t believe in going out of my way to hurt people using words. While they can’t physically hurt you, they do have power behind them. in conclusion; Don’t be a jerk👍🏻

Or simply don't give them power. The World is full of wonder and joy. But equally full of horror and sorrow. Unfortunately the way the world has begun to go. I firmly believe that if you follow the line of hate speech. You'll soon fold into line with policing how people speak. It's a hill I won't budge from. Not while a minority seems to be growing in dictating to the majority.......Ahh I've trailed off track. Bottom line: Better to depower than give power. You can't be offended if you don't give it the power to be such.
