Does anyone else feel like they're getting the same roll of brave weapons over and over again
I seem to keep getting the same roll on mountaintop (lead/one for all) and edge transit (chain reaction/deconstruct) I've gotten each of these rolls what feels like a million times.
Is anyone else noticing that it feels like certain perks are weighted more heavily or am I just having exceptionally bad luck?

3 RepliesYes, and this isn’t new. I’ve had a theory for years that Bungie has lower drop rates for desirable perks. They have denied this, but the evidence is clear.

Turned in 600 tokens and got 1 shiny mountaintop and a couple of shiny recluses. Have yet to see shiny succession, don’t think it exists at this point

I can't get the attunement to work properly. It feels like when I attune a weapon it removes it from the pool. All I seem to get is Elsie's Rifle and Recluse.

I continue to get attrition orbs / desperate measures.. I don’t want either of these perks. Lol

Yes, delete and redownload game/clear cache/hard reset to get a new “seed” for the RNGenerator

Probably 70% of the weapon drops I’ve gotten have been Edge Transit, and 90% of those drops have had Chain Reaction. I honestly think Bungie is doing this as a kin to the Forsaken days when Edge Transit was basically the only weapon that would drop.

Same here! They throtled shiny drop rate and also Godroll drop rate they just scamming us! It´s just pathetic what they are doing! There´s no way People will get desired god rolls this way. Honestly I couldn´t care less about Onslaught and the weapons at this point,good luck everyone...

Yes and I’m also getting more of the same weapons that I don’t have attuned. I un-attuned and attuned it again but still no luck so I logged out. If I could get the Elsie’s rifle with arrow head, ricochet rounds, zen moment, and head seeker I would be able to start farming the rest of the weapons. I haven’t got any god rolls in at least 100 different weapon drops. 😓

Not so much the same roll…more like NOT dropping anything I’m chasing, though some better ones in the mix, though many are [i]meh![/i] at best. Recluse / 20+ drops / will settle on my best picks and then switch attunement to another weapon; currently Mountaintop. Elsie’s Pulse Rifle - so far, of the 6-10 dropped so far, all of them are quit close, and pretty good! Once I’ve got the mountaintop(s) stocked, I’ll reduce to my best picks and attune another weapon…probably Elsie’s pulse rifle. That’s how I’m doing it…each to their own! Two main issues with Onslaught, imho… 1. Shax onslaught bounties / resetting rank 2. Club 49 3. Shiny weapon drop rates 👆 Enough said! 😤 Ease springs y’all (me too😁) 🫡

Been pretty much same for me, i gave up on hung jury and recluse as was getting same rolls nearly every time

yep. i've gotten 6 mountaintops in the last 2 days with impulse amp. and harmony. have yet to get one with recombination. Succession is just reconstruction and snapshot over and over. and i've all but given up on edge transit. i just get trash roll after trash roll. out of the 8 weapons so far... i have 1 god roll (midnight coup) and 2 usuable rolls (hung jury and recluse). everything else just goes straight to the trash. like the perks are so bad that i won't even use them on patrols.

Yuuuuup. Haven't seen 1 kinetic tremors midnight coup from legend runs and I have it attuned.

Edited by Grim1Citizen: 4/18/2024 9:23:31 PMI was thinking this earlier, must have had 50+ recluse, 50+ midnight coup and 100+ mountaintops drop trying to farm god rolls an not once out of any of them have I had a good roll, some perks I haven’t even seen like auto loading or recombination even once on mountaintop, they’ve definitely made the good perks rarer to roll an it’s bullshit, onslaught is nowhere near enough to fun to keep farming an only getting garbage. Also most of the rolls are always the same rolls over an over, no way is it random I actually did get a midnight coup with kinetic tremors an explosive payload but the masterwork/ barrels an mags are complete -blam!-

I have turned in probably about 30-40 or so weapons at the chest by Shaxx, not counting drops from the activity. I have not gotten a single Recluse with Master of Arms from the chest, or from Onslaught. Not even one. I know Desperate measures is a better perk, but for nostalgias sake I’d like one lol. Good grief.

Yeah, but they have very small perk pools, and that's not a bad thing. My 2nd Mountaintop had Impulse Amplifier and Recombination, and while I could take or leave Impulse Amplifier, Recombination chunks down majors and bosses at 10x like a heavy. Eventually you'll hit one or two that you like. You can also check light.gg (if you can stand all the ads...) to see what rolls are most common and/or desired. At least I think that's how I remember it.
