Ok...one week Bungie limits special ammo and the next week Bungie makes it a special ammo smorgasbord in competitive and trials. More special ammo than before the March 5th changes. Feels really bad and its ridiculous. WTF are you doing bungie?

Bungie's PvP team just has room temperature IQ

I just saw a streamer run double specials, and he got two fusion shots, and eight forerunner ammo from one crate. Are they intentionally going in the opposite direction now? There's way too much green in comp and trials now.

Edited by A_mo: 4/14/2024 2:47:40 AMLook at this week's trials meta. Its hilarious. Forerunner and a raid gun is the first two guns then both versions of the summoner. And forerunner and summoner are both very hard to get away from once you first get hit. Trials has been pumping out the quality summoners though. That's leaving rotation isn't it?

At least it's better than the stupid meter.

They just need to go back to what they had. It worked well. This is just con

Oooooo I’m gonna have six shots of Burdens Guilt and you dont want me toooooooo

Edited by A_mo: 4/12/2024 8:48:14 PMBlackout is probably the map where starting like it does is the biggest problem for any special ammo changes. Its just a really small map so it is what it is. You start and the people are already in your face. Its like a mini Braveheart experience every round.

Edited by EgosRuin: 4/12/2024 8:45:24 PMI agree it makes it worse than before. I love sniper etc. but to tone down special ammo was a good thing. But now we have more special than nearly ever before. 🤷♂️ They tested already before this thing with special ammo crates in D1 why do they think the people will like it now when they already hated it before? 🤦♂️ Also they are punishing people for switching between special and primary. I mean why? What's the problem with that?

I know. One second Bungie’s making special ammo virtually nonexistent and the next season you get like 4 kills of special worth for free, right off spawn. It’s just Who’s Fusion Rifle Is Better? Simulator.
WTF are you doing bungie?
Being bad at PvP changes. It's what they do. People received checkmate with polarizing views but overall people got used to it, then they changed health to guardians and ruined it. Trials was feeling good because it required skill instead of special ammo spam. We hated it so they made it worse than before when you got two shots. Now people grab 2 crates and keep grabbing and they have almost full mags of special ammo. I give up on Bungo. They will never be good at making PvP games again. They just suck at it now.

I agree. I'd prefer the special ammo reverted back how it was prior to March.

Edited by A_mo: 4/12/2024 5:36:34 PMComp is actually not too bad so far from what I've played today. Definitely no expectation whatsoever of making it to ascendant but the artifice armor that I forgot about is a really nice touch. With the special ammo and the way special is working, double primary should be viable. In comp people also quit for going down by like 2 to 4 points in clash, which probably shouldn't be catered to and it just be to where the matches are considered quicker rather than slow chess matches. At least at the higher end of the skill range. Upper half to 25% or so. If people are going to go back to maining special ammo hopefully the robotic aspects of that don't return as well. The special ammo crate system is interesting and it does keep people moving around but it definitely appears to be something where better players are really going to get the upper hand. A lot of people don't really know how to move around maps very well, and especially not by themselves so there's a chance that could turn into a bunch of spawn placements. Which is still better than it used to be.
