Well, bungie is making sure some abilities for not making it too ops. If not, you bet that bungie will restrict on raid race.
-
6 RepliesYou need to have some limits as to what you can use with the prismatic subclass, otherwise there is no reason to use any of the current subclasses.
-
5 RepliesUnlock it all at once, make us strong, we are supposed to be a God-killer, let us be the powerful thing we are depicted as being.

Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/12/2024 11:13:36 PMI personally think prismatic should be a vessel for the slightly lesser used subclass things. By having the ability to combine them to your choosing, they become things actually worth using. If you allow Well of Radiance with prismatic, why would anyone choose anything else?

1 ReplyEdited by Eatz: 4/10/2024 5:49:02 PMNah, it won’t ruin them at all. I’m still very hyped, I thought the same as you until I saw the fragments. I have no doubt prismatic will be updated as time goes on.
-
I am a little disappointed with how limiting the options are. I like the looser restrictions for aspects but can't use a lot of abilities I had already cooked up for prismatic interactions
-
3 RepliesThey might add other aspects/abilities later. Wont want to use up everything at once.
-
First i want stasis with solar ... Freeze them and then burn them to hell is gonna be so fun but there are so many combinations that i can already think of ... Strand is actually not needed , it is OP on its own already , i don't wanna grapple or throw a tangle or whatever , i wanna wield that space magic and go mayhem . Imagine all of the combinations you can make with void , arc , solar and stasis . Absolutely amazing !

2 RepliesToo late. Prismatic will be a curated selection from each subclass. You can only select what Bungie says you can select from and you will NOT have access to every variation of the subclasses' supers, abilities, aspects and fragments. Only ONE from each subclass will be able to be selected in Prismatic. This pretty much insta-killed my interest in the subclass.
-
They need to make it totally free…. Power fantasy= fun
-
2 RepliesNah them excluding Well is the biggest W.
-
1 ReplyThey way theyve done it is the correct way as to not completely kill off every other subclass in the game
-
Do you mean base kit wise or just generally? I’ll admit I’m not excited about the starter kit on warlock because I don’t care for either of the initial supers (cataclysm means nothing to me when Needlestorm is in the game and although it’s a good super Wiinter’s wrath feels overly clunky). But if you mean generally, prismatic does need limits otherwise there would be no need for any other subclasses in the game; admittedly though I do feel like that there were better options in some cases or new options needed for melees on warlock (chain lightning isn’t going to compete with incineration snap, penumbral blast or arcane needle if you can’t get amplified as consistently as you do in stormcaller; and short of a total rework pocket singularity is just simply never going to compete with the other melee options).

6 Repliesyall are overdramatic like hell when yall don't like something 'It will ruin you' 🤣
-
6 RepliesIt’s needed for the integrity of the game and the balance. It’s not a big deal, also if we had no restrictions then the value of the regular subclasses cease to exist. Limits need to happen and I’m ok with that
-
2 RepliesRemember when bungie almost made grapple hunter exclusive but then realized it was a bad idea. Bungie now: let’s make it so grapple on prismatic is hunter exclusive.
-
5 RepliesIt’s not even had it fully revealed
-
The dev blog actually had maybe a little more in it than I was expecting it to have at first. The point probably isn't to only make a mess out of the game.
-
Do none of you understand the idea of “Game Balance” and design? Right now, we have pretty potent and powerful Light and Darkness Subclasses. So Potent in fact, that old content is a cakewalk and new content needs to constantly throw some annoying or powerful ads at you to keep you busy. We can carpet bomb entire regions and destroy even the slightest hint at life. We already are broken And you want Prismatic to combine and make us even more broken. What would be the point of playing the game after that. If we are so powerful that everything becomes a slog, why play in the first place. We don’t need new Exotics. We don’t need new weapons. Our Subclass does everything for us because it’s everything. What is the point. Prismatic is not going to be weak by any standards, but a system like prismatic to be all encompassing, would require a revamp of the game, or a completely new game entirely, so that it could be Balanced within the game. That is the crux of the issue.
-
Then there would be no point in having other subclasses.
-
7 RepliesOr just don't add it at all?
-
2 RepliesThat will only work if prismatic is not allowed in pvp ... i really hope the community will ask bungie to not even think about to bring it pvp sandbox. pvp is the real darkness
-
2 RepliesEdited by TonnoSenpai: 4/11/2024 8:27:23 AMis for balance and for time , they made prismatic very fast after all, without restriction they will make all other subclass useless
-
1 ReplyI assume 3 light fragments, 3 dark fragments. 2 light aspects, 2 dark aspects. So you can’t have more broken light OR darkness, you have to fully build into utilising both sides of the script.
-
11 RepliesL take homie. The base classes still need their own identity. Every raid is still going to need Well-locks at the very least.

So entitled sheesh lol
