Do not timegate the Into the Light weapons
Personally, I can’t play for most of May due to travel, so I guess I’ll just miss whatever the last two or three guns are.
Non-personally, it’s just annoying.
Update: Looks like they’ll be compressing the schedule and releasing all weapons by the end of April. Still not the ideal, but I appreciate that they’re compromising.

1 ReplyIt’s almost as if we are nearing a new release and they wanted us to feel like they are listening and reacting to feedback(again). Dont be surprised if they already knew the negative feedback was coming and had a compromise in place. Or maybe I’m just being cynical 🤷♂️

I completely understand people's time constraints, however, time gating is common in video games. Helldivers 2 is a pretty popular new game, and it's devs have been time gating things. if everything is given out to everyone immediately, there is nothing left for the future.

1 ReplyThere's always a catch to good news from bungie. At least they understand that people don't like pointless time gated bs and changed that to be all in the same month of april. But I wonder if that was because they just decided to cut their losses on May knowing the playerbase number will either drop again or rise depending on how long it take people to get the god roll they want and get the armor and all black shader.

No, they will release them before that because all the weapons will magically drop into the streamers hands to sell the idea "you need these weapons".

1 ReplyHow I view Time Gating is different. Time gating gives me time to find the weapons with rolls I like . not that timegating is not the issue my vault will fill up faster I won't have the time to check out different rolls.

3 RepliesYou can still get the weapons after the final shape comes out. The only thing that is time limited is the brave limited edition ornaments. After the final shape comes out you will not be able to get the brave limited edition ornaments.

All you're missing is limited edition ornaments on the weapons. You'll be able to get the guns. This activity will go into the Vanguard node.

Whilst i personally hate these selfish requests, i do have to agree that timed loot can be annoying. I mean most of the time the weapons aren't even that good so it shouldn't mater and not only that but they make all seasonal weapons craftable anyways.

4 RepliesThat’s one thing about Microsoft I find odd, why automatically give a refund over a delay ? At least give the person the option first, sounds like a huge pain in the butt. Sony says nope we’re keeping your money sucker, you gotta work to get it back lol. But really for me it’s just easier, I get delays happen, I’d rather a game be delayed than be crap so I’m not gonna refund my preorder over it.

"First up: we’ve seen the feedback on releasing an additional weapon each week after the first six drop on April 9, and we’re condensing the schedule to release everything by April 30th, rather than May 21st." Bungie never learns. Time gating content/rewards has always been extremely unpopular and annoying for players. But somehow, they still think they'll make engagement higher, when the reality is that players will only engage with the game when their favorite weapon becomes available. They never learn.

Currently, this post is the top of the 19!!!! top posts, all of which complain about the weapon release strategy. Only one of those isn't about the time gating. I for one voted nay though I'm personally going to be fine with it. I still, though I tried, don't yet have rolls I want on Summoner, Prosecutor, Prophet. STILL don't have buried bloodline despite many clears (will keep going)... There's IB to farm and we'll have exotic missions. I'm excited about the next couple months regardless of the drippy content
