Counterpoint: Mario Party Superstars exists. Or literally any Mario Party game aside from 1 and 10.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games wants a word

Sticker Star is right there
-
You mean Sunshine

I don’t think I’ve ever sat down and just played a Mario game. Unless you count Mario Kart. Or Mario Super Sluggers on the Wii.
-
I'd call it a tie between Super Mario World and Mario 64.
-
Perhaps. Certainly makes the best use of its hardware and technology at the time, as well as having the best soundtrack hands down.
-
Who’s Mario?
-
Is that even a hot take? I thought that was a universally agreed upon opinion. A case could be made for SMG2 being better, but they are essentially two parts of the same game.

Edited by The First Aifos: 3/1/2024 10:27:06 PMWhile fun, the Galaxy games were kind of an awkward in between from the Collectathon games (like 64, Sunshine & Odyssey) and the full on 3D linear platformers (3D Land/World), and as a result they don’t do either thing as well as the dedicated games. Like, if you want a Collectathon your best choice is Sunshine, and the best choice for a 3D platformer is 3D World. Galaxy’s only alright at both. Also TTYD exists, so your opinion is invalid. Galaxy does get points for introducing Rosalina, though. Best Mario character. Edit: Also points for the Luma-spin. That was one of the best jump corrections I’ve ever seen in a 3D platformer, though of course Odyssey blows it out of the water in that regard.

No. It's OK at best. OG mario is the best.
