TWAB WAS GOOD... for once
To be honest, all the PVP changes are good from what I've read, and this honestly might make me come back to pvp without my friends having to drag me in there.
Now what caught my eye is how they are bringing back more Trials of the Nine weapons, which I absolutely love and I hope this means the ornaments will eventually return with just really hard qualifications to get them.
Edit: they could also add a new difficulty for the Prophecy Dungeon and you have to do certain solo flawless challenges to get the ornaments they could also do this for the old Trials of the Nine pure white flawless armor with the blue glow, they could also add triumphs for all the Trials of the Nine shaders that are no longer available "which I luckily got due to farming the challenges back then" .

We have this group chat on WhatsApp, in which only 2 friends continue to play D2. Some 50 others, including me, stopped. Some years ago, many last year, some in December, and a few left overs like me recently. Here’s a short summary of the conversation: - “huge TWID.” With a link to it. - “so come back in may?” - “what happens in may?” - “we get 3 new pvp maps” - “who cares, dead game” - “idgaf” - “f*** pvp” - “they’re adding adept rewards for flawed cards too” - “new weapons?” - “don’t know” - “price?” - “it’s going to be free!” - “are you new to the game?” - “xyz left the group” - “I’ll watch TFS online, that’s the new gameplay” - “me too, can’t be bothered leveling up again” - “lmfao me too” - “count me in for Marathon (leaving frog emoji) - “quoting lmfao” - … Sure this TWID is better than what we’re used to, however addicts are so disconnected from reality that they’re extatique when their dealer gives them the fair amount, even if it’s still overly expensive for something massively cut. I personally won’t be home when TFS hits. I have a strong feeling that it will be the first time in 3y that I’ll be checking the streams, and won’t “catch up,” when I’m back. I do hope that Bungie will make me change my mind.

12 RepliesMaybe a decent twab yea. Way too late tho. All these changes were overdue for years. Bungie can only act when the game is dying. I personally have no interest anymore. All those years, those things should have changed. Some artifice armor will not make me play against cheaters 24/7 in comp for example. And doing 50 trials matches for maybe getting 7 wins on a card eventually with flawed odds due to team balancing for one single adept weapon doesnt sound too fun either when the playerbase is already dead.

6 RepliesAnother PvP update that won’t really be an update? I hope it’s good, destiny PvP should be elite and one of the best on the market. PvP games are the most popular games and make a boat load of money.

I'm all for changing things up in pvp, but what they're doing is just throwing crap at the screen and hoping it works. Problem is it won't work, because the broken core philosophy is still all wrong. You don't get new players to stay in pvp by hiding the new loot behind high ranks and wins in a playlist that doesn't have a solo que option or a system that prevents stomping on new (or aging) players. There is no chance at all that a statistically relevant number of players will become new pvp players to go after armor that requires not only wins, but a rank requirement. Remove the rank requirement and just put the armor as guaranteed drops after wins and it might work, but NOBODY is going to farm comp forever for high stat artifice armor that requires you to be top 10%. I read that entire TWAB, and nothing I read makes me want to jump back into that cross play lag fest.

It's all pointless until they start doing something serious about all the cheating. They cheats know they can pretty much get away with anything, and it puts everyone else off because of the cheats. I can't even get into Sparrow whatever because there aren't enough players in my region.

5 RepliesExcept for the lack of focus on the core game, this TWID may have been OK, but if you are not a PVP main you get basically nothing from it. A few weapons to chase in a dungeon most players are not running regularly.
