Silence & Squall Needs a Massive PvE Buff

Silence & Squall needs a massive PvE buff against rank-and-file, majors, and bosses. I’m thinking at least a 50% buff to the base super against minor enemies at least. Possibly a 30% buff against all other enemies, except guardians. This super is so bad that it some times doesn’t even kill minor enemies, even with a direct hit from the super.

  • The problem is 3 fold; 1. It applies slow stacks too slowly 2. It relies on shatter damage, which is pretty weak. 3. It's movement speed and tracking are poor so it spends half it's duration chasing targets. Most of these problems are tied to pvp nerfs that bleed over into pve.

    • The last thing hunters need in any capacity is any sort of buff. They need nerfs across the board before y'all talk about trying to buff anything. All I see in any activity are hunters.

        • Honestly. It needs a full rework. The super should work like quiver tether where you activate it to throw one, then you activate it again within maybe 6 seconds to throw the other one. And both attacks should spawn a tornado in PvE. Tornadoes should deal a lot more damage too.

        • I'd say 30% is good for a start but maybe what it could also do is that if the tornado shatters a red bar or major tier enemy the shatter does an extra 50% to nearby enemies

            Maybe they can add a roaming super variant, either like: - stasis hammer titan but with mini scythes (chuck it, freeze, instant shatter) - stasis arcstrider/burning maul (giant ice scythe) Or Redesign it abit where it still acts the same but it summons 2 ice twists (with both throws) and freezes the area / instant shatters where the impact hits/lands. (Give it better tracking and dmg)

              You are aware it has been bugged since they did the chill clip nerf right? Basically like the restoration bug where the server could not properly store the data for the strength of restoration the strength of stasis effects was not being properly stored & applied via the Whisper of Durance fragment. Whisper of Durance use to: •Increased Silence & Squall duration(19sec to 24sec) •Improved Silence & Squall slow duration(1sec to 3.5sec) •Improved slow duration of Withering Blade aka Shuriken(2sec to 3.5sec) •Improved slow duration of Winters Shroud aspect(2sec to 3.5sec) •Improved slow duration for Duskfield Grenade(1sec to 3.5sec) •Increased Duskfield Grenade duration(8sec to 10sec) After the change to chill clip it [b]NO LONGER PROVIDES ANY OF THESE EFFECTS[/b]. Here short video showing this with duskfield grenade: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNt8YE5gESg It does do some things properly though they are HIGHLY conditional. Bleak Watcher is un-effected(warlock), duskfield grenade duration is unchanged, and slow duration on direct impact ONLY with duskfeild grenade. This like I said above is because the server can not properly store the data for the strength of the effect which is why it works on direct hits only. Ive submitted this to the bug report(with acknowledgement the information was received, additionally they asked for video footage to confirm which was provided) & hoped it would be fixed in a timely matter. It has been about 5months now with no fix or update.

            • Agreed. A lot of our supers need a major PvE buff. Bungie hates us having fun so it might not happen.

              • Agreed on a buff. Stasis as a whole needs to be buffed and this whole season was suppose to be about Stasis. Instead they just gave up on it for what it feels like. I have found the Hunter Stasis subclass to be good in a sense when you have Mask of Bakris back when the buff was to everything for Stasis abilities, but otherwise it feels quite weak, especially with the change to it being basically surge mods that only works on weapons. There are so many changes Bungie needs to revert as a whole at this rate to be frank.

                • Maybe they could rework it completely and rather than tracking around the map aimlessly. It could perform a massive tornado effect and pull enemies in for each scythe thrown. A damage buff is needed regardless but with tracking it ends up like shelf version and busted in pvp but great in pve, remove the tracking and make it more consistent would be a good compromise imo.

                  • I think it works fine for crowd-control, as a damage super I feel it's lacking but it's more for utilitarian purposes in my opinion.
