I think of it as a method of organizing supers so that (if) when Bungie creates another expansion or just more light supers after final shape you’re not having the quantity of supers feel asymmetric between the classes, because the 2 copies of shadow shot, Golden Gun and Nova bomb only varies slightly. So, ultimately Stormcaller, Sunbreaker, and Striker will be able to get new supers to fill out their ranks with causing an uproar because Voidwalker, Gunslinger and Nightstalker will be able to get new supers too, without the classes feeling explicitly asymmetrical. Plus it would also place the conceptual ground work for my second idea, by planting the seed and giving it time to grow.

I just don't see this assymetry as any kind of problem at all.
