• That's nothing anyone asked here, not even me. But remember, after all games are meant to be escapism entertainment. Not political correctness agendas forced on the consumer. I don't pay money to get politics shoved into my face. I pay money to get entertained. Both gameplay wise and visually. Otherwise I would say we should make all male Warlocks look super skinny, since they are Wizards and not Titans and also all male Hunters slightly more slim since they are meant to be agile, not strong. But let's be real, that would be a very dumb idea and so is un-femalizing females in video games.

 • Just admit you’re an incel and move on. You chuds always gotta pull every single excuse from the boo whenever it involves women in gaming, it’s pretty pathetic honestly.
Just admit you’re an incel and move on.
Woah there, buddy. No need to throw semi-insults around. And second, it is a visible, increasing trend in the gaming industry since the last 5-7 years, especially in games from western studios from the USA. Their culture is bleeding into their international property. If you want a comparison, look at both (recent) games from the USA and then at ones from Japan. Like the upcoming Fable game and the already-released Final Fantasy 16. In one game the main character looks intentionally less attractive (which isn't my issue) and in the other game from the other side of the world, the female characters look like the idolization and peak-fantasy of an attractive woman, which fits QUITE IRONICALLY the franchise name FINAL FANTASY. Games are not meant to realistic all the time. People play them to not deal with Reality for some time and rather immerse with a less problematic universe than our own, an universe they want to be in. But if you want to ignore the clear, visual evidence in the last years in western games... Do that. There is not much use arguing with people that throw insults around so easily.

 • While I don't agree with what others says... You clearly have some issue to care this badly about some outline changed .... This isn't the game to be horny at your character ...try out ff14 of that's your thing
You clearly have some issue to care this badly about some outline changed ....
I care for what the western gaming industry is becoming over time now. It first starts with making no more attractive outfits and characters, then it continues with removing/altering existing stuff (see Blizzard removing paintings of exposing clothed women in WoW, Flirt Voice Lines, 343 Studio removing distinctive female spartan body shapes, etc). They remove the identification icons for male and female in some games. Upcoming games even stop using the labeling terms "male/female" for character creator screens and rather call all their shapes "Bodytype 1" to "Bodytype [final number]". And while the later one is a good change for diversity, better acceptance of non-binary and transgender characters and such... It isn't really equality. It is only the illusion of it. The entire problem is much more complex, hidden and multi-layered than "oh, no more attractive outfits in games". For me equality means "creating equal and fair options by adding new ones", not "creating diverse options by removing or altering older ones". If people want less attractive/revealing looking characters, the game developers should put in the effort to make it optional graphics settings (like Baldur's Gate 3 does even for its naughty scenes and body parts). But instead they generally force it into everyones face, rather than serving each customer group more individual. And while all of this has nothing to do with the topics context, it worries me that this kind of development within the gaming industry could bleed over into Destiny 2.
