CAP isn't increased actually decreased... 3 characters x 10 in PO BOX + 10 in inventory = 40 (FORTY)
30 IS A DECREASE!!!! LMAO- but wait.. hold the phone... Bungie actually knew it was a nerf, just not to everyone... just to that 1% of the player base
SO in affect that 1% who are freaks (yes I am one of them) those freaks who are dedicated neurotic deranged hoarders who play countless hours... Bungie says we dont care about you.. 2 RepliesI’m a hoarder and one-percenter and even I don’t see this as a problem. We’ll be fine. We don’t NEED 40. Hell, we don’t need 30 but we keep 40 because we can and grind enough to consistently keep ourselves fully stocked. However, at no point do I feel like I can’t spend them. In fact, I spend them recklessly and frivolously all the time and STILL manage to keep myself fully stocked. I’m sure the same applies to you.

Allowing you to carry 30 Shards on your person instead of 10 and then 10 in the Postmaster of each character for a total of 40 is indeed a nerf and it is not only a nerf but a nerf marketed as a Quality of Life Improvement by Bungie. The same way they increased the drop rate of Exotics from Lost Sectors by a small margin (estimates put the increase at a measly 2 %) but then proceeded to rework the majority of Lost Sectors so that they take you 10-15 minutes to complete instead of 5-10, i.e. a large margin. The same way they decreased the level gap between seasons to reduce level-up grind but then removed Pinnacles from Vanguard strikes, Crucible matches and Gambit games, making it that much harder for solo players and players without clans to acquire Pinnacles. The same way FBMM was supposed to improve Trials of Osiris but only did so for a week and then made the game-mode significantly worse for the majority of players because the player population isn't big enough due to lack of good incentives and sufficient rewards. Bungie is oftentimes not improving the game for the players the way they imply or even claim they are. A lot of the time, they are just shuffling things around to act like they are working on their game whilst not actually producing anything meaningful for their clients.

I don't really know about other people, but I haven't had a need to masterwork anything in a while so my materials are always capped, I don't do exotic focusing because the stats are usually trash so it's not worth doing, and usually if I need the materials I'll go get them so this overall nerf to material storage isn't a big deal to me personally. I can see it being a big deal for some but if you're filling your inventory and postmaster all the time then you're probably not using those extra materials enough anyways.

Yeah please just use your Ascendant Shards. As a player who actively hoards 40, I know damn well I never use more than 10 at any one time.

This isn’t something I personally deem as a worthy complaint. If you have 30 shards, there’s a good chance you’re not burning through them anyway. Doesn’t matter if you’re missing out on 10 more. We have all of next season to focus maybe 1-2 pieces of Armor max. And if it becomes that much of an inconvenience; just go earn more shards. If you’re good enough to earn 30/40. You’re good enough to earn a few more, if you’re really running low. Otherwise; it’s not a big deal. It’s a 1% issue

If you have maxed out your materials then why not spend them? 30-40 shards is more than enough to masterwork 4-5 loadouts lol. I barely need 10 as it is and im constantly making builds in this game. Whenever I want more I just put on the perk on my ghost so headshots drop prisms and then play a but of pvp. After a few hours I normally max out in prisms and I just trade them in for shards. Now imagine the people that actually play nightfalls? You guys can get shards miles faster than my casual method so why complain about all this? It seems so pointless to complain about something that doesn’t really affect you, even the top 1% lol.

It's really nothing to get worked up about honestly. But Bungie just not making everyone happy with just having the cap be 40 is dumb and shows how out of touch they are with the community.

It's actually a good change. I can now max out 30 shards, infuse 10 exotic armor pieces at once and repeat the proccess.
