How I would rework glaives

With the upcoming season 23 glaive rework coming and Bungie asking for feedback I thought I would post my ideas on the matter. You may disagree with some of them or don't simply care about glaives but I would like them to be more viable. These proposals are to possibly provide Bungie with some ideas regarding the rework. I'll separate these changes to PvE, PvP and general with the general changes being the largest section. PvE: -Increase the damage of both melee and projectile to make them feel more effective. PvP: -Increase melee damage to 100 per hit, allowing "2-stabbing". 3 hits feel way too long when there are so many other specials and powerful melees. -Allow you to block enemy melees. Some melees, especially knockout, feel like they ignore your block. Don't know if thats actually the case but here it is anyway. General: -Glaive melees are elemental, meaning the energy type of the glaive. -Melees benefit from more perks (incandescent, swashbuckler, rampage etc.) -Projectiles have punchthrough similar to armor piercing rounds or stronger (energy received remains a stack per projectile not targets hit). -Faster reload -Faster strafing when blocking (not 1 to 1 ratio when not blocking) -Increased initial melee distance (the first melee). I have a big pointy stick so why does my melee distance feel so low when compared to synthoceps? -The last hit of the 3-hit combo does bonus damage (50-100%). Since the optimal way to hit with glaive melee is to hold block. I would not take this away but instead provide an incentive to do the whole combo. -When blocking with energy, you can negate effects like slow, scorch, jolt and volatile (or atleast stop stacking). -When blocking with energy, you can negate effects like suppression, suspend, freeze and blind in front of you (the actual cone of the blocking shield). I feel these changes would propably make glaives more viable without making them super strong in one aspect alone. PvP melee damage increase would still require strong buff stacking to make glaive melees "one stab" and negating many subclass verbs while blocking could provide a kind of "No u" when people push you when hit by them. This would still require you to get a hit with projectile first and the projectile speed here remains unchanged. In PvE these changes would just increase viability without making them must be meta and without requiring a glaive exotic to actually use them. Thanks for reading!
