Problem changing primary account to PC
Hope someone can help because I've tried following the instructions on help pages and think I'm in a worse situation than when I started....
I started playing the game on console, and used cross save for my laptop. I now have a new PC and play exclusively on PC so wanted to shift my primary account from xbox to PC so I can delete my Xbox account. I followed the Changing Linked Accounts (https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049498031-Destiny-2-Cross-Save-Guide#changing-linked-accounts-0-6) guidance to change from Xbox to Steam. It told me to Disable Cross Save which I did, only that isn't letting me make Steam primary account. And now I've logged in on my PC and have a Titan from years ago but al my characters and current DLC is gone. I just want to play the game on Steam please and remove the old consoles I no longer have from the account to protect my characters. How can I get the characters back on Steam and off Xbox?

4 RepliesHi there! Bungie does not offer services to transfer characters between platform accounts. If you delete your XBOX account, you will no longer be able to access those characters, as the characters are tied to your platform login, not your Bungie account. If you wish to continue using your characters, which were created on XBOX, you will need to wait the 90 day cooldown and then reactivate Cross Save.
