Touch of Malice drop rate discussion. Its about time.

So hey there, Wraith of the Nine here, some of you may know me if we have raided together or have done master raid stuff (god bless you). I have done kings fall nearly 60 times, 45 lootable runs, every character every week since the launch of the Kingsfall Raid back in August. I have achieved the Kingslayer title the first day it was available, keeping up every week of the master challenges as they came out. I have sherpa'd my fair share of new lights, and duked it out with the master raid challenges to get god rolls on the (somewhat useless) Harrowed KF weaponry and still after finishing my last runs today of Kingsfall for the season I am still empty handed without Touch of Malice. I realize that bungie needs some sort of incentive to keep players invested in their game for extend periods of time but this is getting ridiculous. As someone who has achieved everything one can from the raid experience having all of the crafted weapons and harrowed weapons triumphs and title I still cannot get this gun to drop. I think that we need to have some sort of bad luck protection, or maybe a system like the duality triumphs where the drop rate is increased over time with each achieved triumph is in order. If I cant get a weapon from a seasonal piece of content to drop within that season, its a bit ridiculous and causes the droughts of content like these last two seasons have been to be as dry as they are. We need to hear an answer or some sort of response as to why it is the way it is or serious changes for these drop chances.

  • Got it first completion. I’m just going to be clear about something here… Bungie is not likely to EVER change this. Have you considered this is exactly what they want? To keep you playing the same content, over and over, and over again? Bungie and it’s investors lately seem to have been designing systems in game to do 1 specific thing. Pad your play time. Keeping you engaged in the game longer, could possibly lead to them to convince you to make an extra purchase at eververse or in general, longer play time for you in game, means that their game looks better by default on the charts. This has been the case in game since activision left. Low drop chances is a MAJOR opportunity for Bungie to keep you playing. Even if it’s more or less a BS move on their part. Changing its drop rates through some means might be nice, but they would rather leave you with constant bad experiences in game, if it means keeping you engaged as long as they possibly can. You are literally wasting your time posting this. You really are. If they were going to change this, they honestly would have done it by now. You are playing right into their hands, and… well… they are kind of… essentially laughing at you and mocking you just because you more or less, fell into their devious plan and decide to complain about it, when they know full well… they don’t have to do anything and you’ll still play the raid until you get it. This is exactly why I absolutely stopped complaining about raid rng. It’s not going to help me, and there’s not a single thing I can possibly do to change it. I just play the lottery with the raid and hope maybe I’ll land on that lucky number and get it.
